Hi,
I am really struggling to understand the system with the funded hours can somebody help me please,

My annual household in come is around £11000 for new financial year as of 6th April,
I therefore applied for a code for my DS nursery but until this day I still have no code.

Its been 5/6 weeks and I cannot understand why it is taking so long to generate a code if he is eligible?

Anyone have any experience with this please?
Thank you

Hey I work in childcare and in our area you have to fill in a front with the local authority online, and they then send a certificate showing eligibility. Not sure If its different in other areas but it normally takes about 2 weeks for it to come through although we advise to wait 6 weeks.

@Samcj02
Thank you for replying however I have applied for a code and its now been al most 6 weeks and the code still has not come through? I was wondering why it would take so long and what I could do about it as every time i call the councils office they say they cannot do anything!

The 2 year old funding is for those disadvantaged children whose parents receive benefits or low earnings. Google childcare choices and it will give you a lot more info. If you think your eligible for your council bit funding stars termly after your child's second birthday. Our council usually send the letters out automatically the those eligible families as they use the same system as tax credits ect.

Contact your local authority. They will be able to advise.
