Hey All You Beatiful Mums😘

I am really confused right now, basically i put my 2 girls into a local private nursery when i went into part time work. Everything was fine until one friday all parents got a email saying she had sold up and new owners will take over monday morning.

So now i am changing my circumstances... i have asked the new owners of the break down ive been paying her. They are so confused as whats adding up she has been charging me £224 a week and works out she has overcharged me by over 1 thousand pounds!! Now that she has sold the nursery is there anything i can do?! I only have bank statements of her recieving the payments, no contract nothing 😏🤔 pleaseeeee someone give me advice. As when i go to hand these totals in to change my circumstances it aint adding up 😶 x

Are you sure she's over charged you. Did you never get any invoices, or a contract?

I doubt you have any way of claiming any money back
How are the fees collected?
Did you not get invoices?
What's the daily rate?

Surely the new owners are responsible for this? Unfair but as they took over the business then it will be their debt?

How on earth were you paying a nursery to look after your child without a contract or any knowledge of what exactly you were paying?
Didn't you get a fee structure? Were you paying the same every month?

Have the new company acknowledged you have overpaid? What have they said?

It may be that they are responsible for the debt but how are you going to prove what you were charged against what you actually paid? How long were the kids in nursery before the new company took over?

Tbh how did you not notice you were overpaying by £1k ?
