Will my 2 year old no longer get free childcare?

My 2 year old currently gets 15 hours free as I'm unemployed - despite my hard work all year to be employed. I want to go self employed - would her entitlement for free childcare end or does it count for the whole year? She turns 3 in four months time, would it be worth waiting four months till she gets the 15 hours free for that year and just build a client base in the mean time? Thank you! I've been volunteering in a shop to help my employability yet I still have 'no experience' apparently. Ive searched all over the Internet to find information but I can't find anything on what happens when you start working! Thank you in advance :)

Do you have a partner? If so do they work?,

Household income for two year funding is up to about 16000

I don't, it's just me. And if I went self employed it would be Part Time.

No, once 2y funding (Early Education Funding) is awarded it isn't removed, even if you won the lottery or started a £100 000 a year job it would still apply.

Lovely thank you everyone, I'm quite possibly going to wait a month or so to get things organised etc so I'll see how ready I am before she turns 3. Thank you!

Agree with OddBoots once a child had been granted the funding nothing takes it away. Even if you suddenly became a millionaire!
