Pre School Injections

My little boy has the pre school injections tomorrow & im dreading it!!!!
I will tell him in the morning so that he knows what to expect, but does anyone have any tips or advice?

Just don't make it in to a big deal. I was worried about it, I hate needles, but kept it all v low key for DD, just told her she was going to see the nurse for a quick jab. No mention of being brave or anything as that really implies something horrible is about to happen.
Honestly it was fine, she didn't even flinch, and got a sweet off the nurse afterwards

I told DS1 that it was magic powers to make him a power ranger, he believed it and asked for more. I told him well in advance as he prefers to be prepared. DS2 is a little less believing and worries a lot so I didn't tell him until we were sitting in the nurses room. He's obsessed with getting taller so he can go on a certain ride at a theme park close by and I told him it would help him get tall. He was braver than expected and I took lolly pops for after.

I lie to my children too much maybe?!

Thanks everyone!!! Feeling slightly less stressed about it now!!! Love the Power Ranger idea........he'd totally go for that!!! Definitely will take some treats & maybe a trip to the toy shop

Totally with Hippo. My dh is diabetic so the children see him jab loads. My ds used to use a pen and pretend to do his jabs at mealtimes so whenever they had jabs I'd just say we're off to the Dr's for a little jab like daddy to keep you healthy and we never had any fuss. As with so many things children don't panic unless we are shaky about something and pass that on to them. Hope all goes well.
