I had a call from DD's nursery last week to say they had noticed spots on her fingers and blisters in her mouth. They said one of the other children has hand, foot and mouth and that my DD also had it. They said she could stay that day but they wanted to make me aware in case I wanted to take her to see the Dr. They also said she had a temperature and wasn't eating much. I'd never heard of hand, foot and mouth before so called my Dr who said it was just a case of waiting it out. When I collected DD from nursery I could see no sign of spots anywhere on her body and the only marks in her mouth were 2 teeth that were just starting to come through. It's now been a week since nursery called me and still no sign of anything. I'm not sure what to do now, it seems as though nursery were confusing teeth with blisters and being over cautious. The same day as the phone call DD's key worker told me one thing on pick up but DD's day sheet said something completely different. I'm concerned that they have confused my child with another. I did speak to the manager about my concerns but she and DD's key worker just brushed it off as extra vigilance and confusion between the staff. Should I make a complaint or just leave it?
TIA
