Interested in advice on this one .. am currently a SAHM with a 2 year old and a 2 month old, and the 2 year old is currently in nursery 3 short days a week. I want to keep him there as he likes it, and it's good to me to have some time at home with the baby. I have been reassessing his hours though and realise I have the choice of 2 long days or 3 short ones, and was interested in advice on which is best for them? I'd gone with 3 short days initially as I needed the extra sleep on as many days as possible, but that's less of an issue now baby is older. Also, does anyone have any advice on whether consecutive days are better than non consecutive ones? The nursery have advised that consecutive ones are better, but am interested in hearing from parents.

Thee is no right or wrong to this.
Childen will cope with whatever they have to.
Do what fits in best with your child and your family circumstances.
Some children need the familarity of routine and cope with every morning better than 2 full days.
Some children cope fine with 2 half days, such as monday and friday mornings. It depends on your child.
I would probably go for 3 shorter days.
