Not sure what I should be looking at really - needs to hold shoes, change of clothes, nappies, wipes and sun cream etc.

Any suggestions? Looked on etsy but nothing really grabbing me as something she may want to use later on...

I just used a child sized character backpack for mine

Tesco carrier? That's what we use

Yep, backpack here too.

How did you name it, just indellible marker or a sticker? Backpack sounds better, thanks.

Nurseries dont like you to use plastic bags because of the hazard to children. Backpack is the way to go, or even better, something like the free book start bags you used to get.

Notonthehighstreet has personalised fabric drawstring bags for around £14. Look nice. eBay has nylon-y ones for £5.

Thanks everyone. Think I was worrying everyone would have large names stuck on them or something and if hers didn't it might get lost. Seems to be a bit more general than that!

What about a large gift bag with her name written on in marker, not expensive but can still look fun and trendy. Also replaceable if it goes missing.

I like to make things. So I made an old fashioned draw string shoe bag out of heavy duty furnishing material and chain stitched her name on. It was still going strong at the end of 5 years.
Material was end piece - 1.00
Skein of embroidery thread - 89p
Cord - 1.50
For 3.39 and a little bit of my time fabulous bargin.

We use a fabric shopping bag - it was a freebie from a children's centre. Easy for the staff to get the bits and pieces out. Didn't see the point in buying something specific!

Drawstring bags are banned at our nursery. You could look at the personalised ones on Stuck On You.

Cloth reusable shopping bag with child's name on laminated tag on handle. Works a treat

Fred? Sorry, couldn't resist!!!

Mine is starting next week, I have a character bag arriving from amazon (hopefully) and some name tapes and marker pen, hopefully will be able to cobble something together out of that lot!
