Am I being inreasonable ? The Links Nursery received a shockingly bad SCSWIS report ( they were scored as unsatisfactory on every category). On that basis I withdrew my daughter and they have refused to give me my deposiit back.

Will be very interested to see what happens here....we have a 4 month old son, and have him registered with Links to start 2013 - we got a call this afternoon from the nursery to tell us about the report. Having some serious 2nd thoughts now.

Is the report in the public domain for review?

Thanks

Hi
The report is available on the Care Inspectorate website
www.scswis.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=24&Itemid=489&bereNextPageId=QualityGrades_action.php&action=displayGrades&CaseNumber=CS2007167228

My confidence was further dented when I was told by a Director that the report was merely an opinion.

Good luck

I have been a customer since they opened and I am very happy with the care my children have received - yes the report is poor but as with all things it is the personal touch that matters and my daughter is always very happy to go to Nursery - a bonus!

Thanks BabyJune - I am a bit of a newbie a tLinks and I was worried but my experience there has been good - not sure I uhderstand all the care commission gobbledygook but every time I go in the children are all happy and playing away and that's all I am concerned about.and the staff are leovely.

I think you will find that the inspectors who wrote the report came into the Nursery at a time when the previous manager had resigned and there was not sufficient direction going on. The report does not reflect the great work that goes on in the Nursery presently. My child has a great experience here and I have every confidence in the new management. There are courses ongoing for upskilling new staff and those that have been retained are motivated to provide a really caring experience. It is easy to read a report and hang on the negativity that was viewed in the course of a few hours. However I have talked to the staff both before and after the report and I go with my knowledge of what actually goes on in the Nursery everyday for my child. I can only speak highly of this Nursery and recommend that you spend time visiting and observing what the team here provide.
