Nursery in Walthamstow?

Hi

Does anyone know of a good nursery in Walthamstow/E17 area? We're moving there in June and I need to find childcare for my one year old.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It is almost impossible to get into the good nurseries.

I only know the blackhorse road side, but Penrhyn is very good despite being in a dodgy estate, though not sure of their waiting list. heard good things about Higham Hill-they're a partner with the Lloyd Park nursery which has an outstanding ofsted but has 18month waiting list-generally higham hill's waiting list seems to be much shorter or none. there's a just learning nursery opposite higham hill-don't know anything about them other than they're open 7-7 which the others aren't

Where are you based as there are so many nurseries but like the others have said - very hard to get into as long waiting list or fees are quite expensive.

I needed to get my little one into nursery quite quickly as I was doing jury service. Went to visit 3 nurseries in Stow that had places but didnt like them - ended up in Chesterfield Day Nursery in leyton instead. My daughter's bin going there since Sept 2010 and she loves it.

Call up Waltham Forest Children Services Dept and ask them to send you a list of all the nurseries in the area then you can start your search!

You can find information about lots of information on Day Nurseries in Walthamstow and all across the uk, you can contact them and they will run through all of your requirements and even contact the nurseries check avalability and book appointments for you to look round.

You should find everything you need.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but we are moving to Walthamstow in January and are looking for nurseries for our 2 year old. We visited Sugar Plum Tree and the Montessori School. We liked both, although Montessori school is closed for school holidays which would be a right pain. Anyone have any experiences with either or any other nurseries in the area?? Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!!

No experience with those but my children attend Little Diamonds on Blackhorse Road. Happy with it and the hours are 8-6.
