Private nursery: setting up a Parents' Association - advice

Hi - I'm looking to set up a Parents' Assocation for nursery as our lovely nursery manager has just sold nursery to new managers, who will have more of a back seat role.

She has suggested that if we have a Parents' group of some sort, that it could be very useful in the forthcoming period of change that will, inevitably, come, to ensure that we are speaking with a united voice and protecting our interests.

Has anyone done this? I'm looking at the document that I have for a school PTA and it's remit/how the committee is constituted, and thinking that's a helpful start - though obviously am adapting it.

If anyone has any pearls of wisdom they'd be gratefully received.

There's one at Hamilton - I could find out if there is a constitution and the like?
