Charging for lunch when not attending - is this reasonable?

The nursery my DC attended charges for lunch. I have however given them 3 months notice that we will be on holiday and therefore DC won't need any lunch. They also have the option of bringing in a packed lunch and then don't charge for lunch.

However, I am now told that despite DC not attending I still have to pay for lunch? I will of course be paying for the sessions, but can't understand why I should pay for lunch if DC won't be there to eat it and I have given ample notice.

i think that is unreasonable. i could understand if the child was off sick for example because the food would have been bought- but with 3 months notice?

Tell them that he'll be bringing a packed lunch to nursery when you're on holiday.

Thanks both ...Tiggy - that's what I did - e-mailed last night to say packed lunch for Dec when we are away. Awaiting their response.
