TV Request - Teenage weight issue(3 Posts)
ARE YOU A TEENAGER BETWEEN 16-19 YEARS OLD STRUGGLING WITH YOUR WEIGHT?
ARE YOU A PARENT WORRIED ABOUT YOUR OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE TEENAGER?
Following our previous Channel 4 documentary series - ‘Shut-ins’ - broadcast in January 2019 we are now making a programme tracking the lives of teenagers who have become seriously overweight and are at risk of heading towards morbid obesity and health issues as young adults.
We will be working with some of the country's leading medical professionals and we may be able to help you with expert treatment and support.
You might have struggled to seek or find support from health care authorities.
Perhaps you struggle to change eating habits for psychological reasons and need the courage to make a brave lifestyle change.
We’d love to hear from you!
So if you – or someone you know - fits this description and you would like to find out more please get in touch on:

16-19 yr olds with weight and self-image problems?
To be on national TV?
To be described as 'shut-ins' ?
And this would be helpful to them , how exactly?
I would have thought this was almost exactly the last thing that teens with problems needed.
My dd is a very healthy weight, thankfully, but I can't imagine that any worried parents of teenagers would want to go on TV to talk about this problem. It would be utterly humiliating for the child, surely.
There are other ways of getting professional help if anyone needs it!
