We need your help to improve screen time! A chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher!(2 Posts)
We (a special needs teacher and a tech engineer) are parents to two young boys. Like lots of their friends and school mates, they love technology. They enjoy their screen time and we enjoy the quiet when they’re on their tablets.
We strive to find apps that both entertain and enrich the boys at an appropriate level, so that they learn while they play. We also want to make sure they play in a safe online environment.
However, we struggle to find games and apps that make the best use of their time and keep their attention. There is just too much choice, the quality of the content is very mixed, and we have wasted too much time and money on poor quality apps. Whilst the boys would happily watch mindless drivel on YouTube Kids, it certainly isn’t going to grow their minds.
If only there was a Netflix-style app where we could quickly find fun, educational games, videos, eBooks and interactive content that had been tried and tested, we thought. And since no one had done this already, we put our heads together and built it ourselves.
At Nino City we research the best content online so you don't have to. Our app intelligently recommends content to your child based upon their educational abilities and interests. We wrap all that up into our really simple to use and safe app that provides one-tap access to thousands of great games and videos. This content comes from the best producers online, with more being added all the time. The kids are entertained, it helps with their school work and parents have the peace of mind that they are in a safe space.
Nino City is built. We think it looks great, but we are looking for parents and children aged 5 to 11 to take a walk around it and see how they find it. We want to know what works well and where there is room to improve. We need your help to make it a success!
We are offering a 3-month free trial and people who give it a try and provide us feedback will be in with a chance of winning a £100 voucher from Amazon. Qualifying participants (see below) will be identified on 30th April 2019 and we'll randomly select a winner by 10th May 2019.
Simply register your details at Beta.NinoCity.Com and we'll be in touch with more instructions!
1) Register your interest in joining the trial at Beta.NinoCity.Com by 31st March 2019
2) Follow our instructions on how to sign-up to Nino City (for free)
3) Use the app with your child for at least 1 hour (in total)
4) Complete at least 1 survey.
Just in case anyone else considers posting an advert like this on here: I had zero responses to this. Doesn't seem that the £30 list fee is worth it.
In any case, as I had no responses the prize draw has been cancelled, and I'll look to get user feedback from other sources.
