Hi, I've been separated for 6months and my ex has never had our daughter once overnight in that time. He has recently moved back in with his parents so I no that our daughter would happily sleep over, but every time I ask can he have her at the weekends he says he's busy or he won't reply to my txt s or just will have her for 1 -2 hours that's it.
He's fine all week but it's just weekends. I really need a break at weekend and time for me to have a life with my own friends but he just refuses! What do you think I could do with regards to this? Any help or advice would be great xx

You could take him to court for a contact order putting in place however it'll cost to do that snd if he breaks it there are no real consequences. Can't you have a break in the week ? I.e. He have her over night?

There's not much you can do unfortunately. A court order is designed for a situation where you are prevented from seeing your children - no court would attempt to i force a parent to see their child.

Maybe speak to his parents?

Good luck OP.

So is he seeing her during the week?

I appreciate that you want to see your friends and have a break (I've been through this and I know how it feels) but really you need to focus on what's best for the child and work on that basis with your ex.

In my experience 6 months is still relatively early days so hopefully it will get better as things settle down.

It's been two years and my ex had not had his boys overnight he has them on a Sunday 10/4 now though before he was just having them for tea twice a week
