Welcome :)
I think there are local mn sites too where you're more likely to find out about local meet ups.
The main site is for penis beakers, support and fun :)

Just btw if that is your ds's date of birth you may want to name change otherwise I suspect you're quite identifiable.

Hi Laura

A warm welcome to Mumsnet Flowers

We agree with Stealth!

There is all sorts you can do on your local site.

You'll need to go to local.mumsnet.com, and log in. You can choose your local area by clicking on the small map of the Uk and then on the next 'Find a local site' page entering your postcode. This will bring you to the Local homepage for your area.

We hope this helps and if you ever need anything, do give us a shout.

Hello! I live in Halesowen and would love a local buddy Smile Moved here 3 years ago but don't know too many locals as work in the city centre and tend to travel quite a bit to see friends at weekends....I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have decided I need to make some local friends so I'm not a total billy -no-mates when on mat leave.

Have you lived here long?

And although the 'local' Mumsnet is in theory a good suggestion... I have never really seen much (if anything) posted there. So you can try that, but don't get your hopes up Confused

Hi thanks for the message. I have lived here since 2012 I did try the local site but all posts were really old so I don't think it's really up and running anymore :(. Ahh 26 weeks not long till your due then do you know what you are having I dont find out till mid Jan but I think I'm having another boy.

I'm due mid-March and having a little boy Grin Am really excited as it was a long road to get here. Do you work or are you at home with your LO? When are you due?

MrsChrisPratt · 18/12/2016 11:35

(not that being at home with LO is not 'work'!!!! But you know what I mean!)

I'm.a stay at home mom I worked full time up until my maternity leave and was going to go back part time but when the time came I couldn't do it. I do miss it though and will go back full time o CE bump starts school. Im due on the 6th June but my little boy was 4 days early so I will probably be this time too. Ahh boys a e lovely they give you lots of cuddles they do say mommy's boys but my lad is definately a daddy's boy
Have you picked a name? My lb is Luke and If this one is a boy he will be Oliver we think? Are you scared of giving birth I was terrified first time but was so ready at the end I definitely recommend the epidural it was amazing!! It wasn't as bad as I though it would be and it's so worth it. I got pregnant with my little boy first month of trying but it took us six months this time x

Aww, Luke and Oliver are lovely. Do you have any girls names just in case? Why do you think you're having a boy?

It took us a looooong time and 4 rounds of IVF to get pregnant, then we started with twins but sadly lost one at 9 weeks. It was very hard but I am so grateful and happy to be pregnant, just trying to keep the worrying I'm check as because of everything that's gone on I am quite anxious! On the bright side I've had no time to worry about the birth at all! I'm sure I'll start thinking about it more as it gets closer though! I'm booked into Russels Hall and have had loads of scans and appointments due to the issues I've had and they have been brilliant! Where are you going? Where did you give birth last time?

Hi I'm really sorry to hear what happened early in your pregnancy ;( I've had a rough ride too had spotting from.week 5 to 7 and had lots of scans and still even now have spotting about every 10 days feel like I live at hospital and doctors this pregnancy but it will be worth it in the end :) I'm really anxious too i'm booked in russells hall had my lb there and they were all really nice apart from one midwife who I had when I was at pushing stage. Even aftercare was really good and I was in for three days as lb had jaundice. You have had to go through the mill but trust me when you hold your baby everything is worth it. When does your maternity leave start maybe we could meet up then for drink and a piece of cake

Thanks Smile unfortunately it is just one of those things that happen, I'm trying to focus on the healthy baby I have and do everything I can to help this pregnancy asking. I start my mat leave at end of Feb and cannot wait! Cake sounds good!

Yeah it will be nice to meet up I love cake too yum :) are you all ready for Christmas I still have a couple.of gifts to get and the dreaded food shop we will leave little one with the in laws as it will be a battle round asda on Friday lol

Yes, I think it will fly past once Christmas is over Xmas Grin

I am pretty much ready, just need to make up all the beds for guests and pick up the food order tomorrow. Its our last 'adult' Christmas for a while so we have a ton of booze in that I can't drink Xmas Envy

I've been doing everything bit by bit as I get so tired now, so not too much left to do.

I have a mountain of jobs left to do lol been trying to work through them but as I clean one room Luke is making a mess in another :) I keep looking at all the food I can't eat all the soft cheeses coke and things and thinking next year im eating what I want. I've had another scan today just as a check up as I'm still on and off spotting and couldn't believe how big baby was he/ she was kicking there legs I could watch the screen all day l. Bet you are feeling lots of movements now? I'm having the odd kick and lots of swooshing I just want June to come around now. I love it when Luke lifts my top up kisses my tummy and says hello baby I'm your big brother I'm going to give you a kiss and he kisses my tummy.melts my heart. Are you doing Christmas dinner then too we just have the in laws over and I see my family boxing day

I love this thread. Not to far from you all, but much older. I do hope you can get together and support each other. I would have loved to have met people locally in the same boat.
Good luck x
