Hi!

Newbie Corner is very quiet so do visit some other boards to see what interests you. Maybe read round a bit before jumping in when you get to AIBU, just in case.

Hello! And congratulations on your baby! How's your wife doing?

Hello and welcome! You might like the Dadsnet section?

Welcome! Congrats to you and your DPFlowers

I have a 10 week old and am currently hanging out on the Sleep and Infant Feeding boards. They're great at 1am, 3am, 5am and 6am when up for feeds at night!

Haha yep, dads bet seems like a good place for me Grin
My wife has struggled through the pregnancy and even with the baby here she feels anxious. She just needs time and patience to get used to our son.

Congratulations Flowers. There's a few Dads who post here. The site is massive and there are loads of interesting nook's and crannies! Anxiety is very normal if you're a new parent. Your wife should feel able to speak to the health visitor if she's finding it hard. They have heard it all before.

Dadsnet is pretty dead! Stick around here, we're nice honest!

Thanks for the welcome Smile. I suppose every new parent wants the best for their child, and hopefully this community will help me do right by him

Support? In AIBU?! You must be joking!

I don't recommend AIBU for a newbie. The parenting section for posts about your baby, maybe the antenatal/postnatal depression/anxiety section if your wife has it and you'd like advice on supporting her, the Chat section for general stuff.

Hello and welcome and congratulations to you and your DP. Do not venture into AIBU -it's like fight club! Chat is quite nice.

What I mean is people are hardly going to give him a hard time as a new father are they? He hasn't done anything wrong. So I wouldn't expect to see any bitching on there with this post! Lots more people notice AIBU threads, so he will get more replies. I've seen friendly posts on AIBU with nothing to do with the subject, they just wanted a larger audience. N CHAT is nice yes, maybe try that first Smile

lol girls AIBU is entertainment at its best! I often drink a bottle of wine while chilling at weekends looking at all the posts! Boxing gloves are out mostly, but I'm sure or at least I would like to think this would be a friendly audience post.

Hello and congratulations to you both on the birth of your son Flowers

Early days, so many questions and a lot of hard work, but lovely times.
If I were you I'd wear your thick skin and join in on all the main boards.

Posts like that really need to go in Relationships

One person says post in AIBU, two people say don't, and you post in AIBU... so YABU clearly Wink

In AIBU when it should have been in Relationships

Report
Axxxkay · 14/10/2016 23:33

#rookieerror haha yes, but none of my friends have children and most aren't married so I can't rely on them for help, and it would be embarrassing to bring up a topic like this with work colleagues. And family is of the opinion, suck it up and get on with it. So AIBU it is Wink

Emma Jesus calm down! Shall I refer to you as a man then? You talk about AIBU being harsh, n your the one being bitchy on here already.
