Please help !!! Dylan or James

Hi all
Can you please help me! We have called our son Dylan James (both family tradition names) however we don't know if we should refer to him as Dylan or James? Which sounds better as a first name? Please help we are torn!!!!!

I like James, but that is because I prefer traditional names.

Which do you think he most looks like?

Dylan, otherwise you should have named him James Dylan!

He was always meant to be Dylan as my maiden name is Dillon, but with people spelling it wrong and giving him silly nicknames I starting to think I should call him by his maiden name James! Don't know what to do, hate the fact Iv been put off Dylan :((

James is lovely never dates. It will always be a great name for boy.

Both are lovely names. I didn't realise there could be spelling issues with Dylan. Is it because people who know you by your maiden name might assume your surname spelling? Surely that will pass.

(What about DJ or Deej? Oh, I miss Roseanne.)

Yes people spelling it Dillon and then someone called him Dyl!!!! Which I was so annoyed about!!!! Hate dj!! So annoyed right now, should have thought about this before I babes him :(

Yes Dyl is awful. However, I've never come across it before and Dylan is fairly popular round these parts (Scotland).
