Like to lurk but have never posted, never been brave enough I suppose. Love the humour, am in awe of the support offered and a little bit frightened by some of the flamings (even when they might be well deserved).
So a bit about me, I'm 22 work in Local Government have a dp who's 32. As my user name suggests I like sharks and flamingoes and I like to crochet, to draw and watch Netflix.

Hi there!
Thought I'd just pop in to say hello! I'm not a newbie but the first time you post can be a little worrying.

Hi OP!

not a newbie but welcome to the boards.
The flamings scare me as well, but the support you can get is breathtaking.

Just left work as came to a choice point.
12 hour days regularly working in excess of 60 hours week. Plus a 2 hour round trip of 65 miles a day. I'm knackered
Family got pissed off cause I'm never home.
Work refused to compromise or provide support so I left.
Finally slept a full night!!
Chilling in the sunshine refusing to clean while just recover.
BOLLOCKS to it. Housework delayed for last 18 months so 1 day won't make a difference

Och I'd definitely put the housework on hold and bollox to it all indeed, my house is a riot and you need some serious agility to move around with all the clutter, gotta be good for you really

Hi like it says on the tin newbie well that's me I guess I was just reading what some painters charge and its quite scary stuff. I run my own painting company and I keep my prices down and take on lots of jobs that others don't want and I am always busy so how can people justify high rates there is lots of work so why get greedy?

Hi Stressedmum123 - perhaps take a look at our Mumsnet Local site in Essex and pop a post on the talk boards over there.

You could also post on our Special Needs Chat board. Some parents on there may be familiar with the school.
