Fernwood village

Hi, I have just joined mums net for a bit of advice. I have just split up with my long term partner. We live in Lincoln and are just moving out of our flat, I am looking at places to live, I work in Newark and I'm looking for a quick commute. I have seen a lovely flat in Fernwood, but don't know the area, I am off the booze so not worried about loads of pubs etc, but can anyone tell me what its like. I have a 23 year old son who lives in Leeds so wont be home that often. But it would be good to get to places for cinema and gyms etc

Anyone got any feedback. Not sure whether I've posted this properly or on the right page, but thought I would give it a shot!
