My sister was a total Cure-Head. She had terrible split ends from all the back-combing.

wotulookinat Tue 12-Aug-08 10:44:02

Oh my god I have dressed in black, just like the good old days grin It's just lucky for my neighbours that I no longer own a black eyeliner or they'd be getting one hell of a shock when I go out in a bit!!

ImnotOK Tue 12-Aug-08 10:49:21

Pinkmist Tue 12-Aug-08 10:54:42

DaDaDa Tue 12-Aug-08 11:38:22

Why did no one warn me that it's Goth Tuesday? grin

I do love The Cure when they're jolly or daft or romantic. This is one of my favourites. <does spooky twisty arm dance>

Tatties Tue 12-Aug-08 11:41:35

Lovesong is magic isn't it

OrmIrian Tue 12-Aug-08 11:45:05

Loved them too. I got 17 Seconds (was that it's name?) for Christmas one year. Was listening to it in gloomy teenage angst one day and my dad wandered in and asked what it was. I told him and he'll like this...'sounds more like The Symptoms'....

Oh how I didn't laugh. Being a teenage misery guts who took myself far too seriously.

CatIsSleepy Tue 12-Aug-08 11:47:57

LOLOL @ goth Tuesday

ooh gorgeous <gazes moodily out of window>

CatIsSleepy Tue 12-Aug-08 11:51:58

orm 17 seconds was a fab album
I loved this and frequently used to inflict it on everyone at lunchtimes in the sixth form centre

i wasn't into any other goth bands at all though.. i wonder why that is...

BigGitDad Tue 12-Aug-08 11:55:29

DaDaDa Tue 12-Aug-08 11:57:46

The Cure had a sense of humour and playfulness amongst the angst which stood them apart.

CatIsSleepy Tue 12-Aug-08 11:59:30
