Apparently he didnt want to be filmed - found the cameras a distraction!

Now feel much more chuffed I did not sit tight hoping for a glimpse of the shy and retiring God of Love
Are you sure dh smashed that bottle accidentally though MaryAnn, mine makes lemon-sucking faces when I power up Do You Like Rock Music...

my dh (huge len fan) reckons that his voice must be the problem if he doesnt want to be filmed-he is getting on a bit now.
Shame if that is the case.

I was there. He was wicked. However he seemed at times rather out of it. Not in a bad way, I think he was overcome with all the crowd and teh setting but I did wonder if he's getting a bit old and confused perhaps

He sounded great and he had such a huge smile.

watching Leonard Cohen in the sunshine with a pear Cider is not a miserable experience

I found it really uplifring and his backing singers were great. Leonard Cohen is not miserable. I have never seen such a great smile!

I was desperate to see him, but he has requested that the whole tour not be filmed for radio or TV. He's either really desperate for money and will release an exclusive video/CD, or worried that he won't be good (as if).

Marina - have you got my e-mail? Made a decision?

I was waiting for him too, v disappointed there was nothing - and Neil Diamond seemed to be on every time I looked!!! Glad to hear he was on good form from those that did see him - reviews of his tour have been v good so far too. I have tickets to see him in Edinburgh on 16 July, but suspect I won't be able to go - I'm 5 days overdue with my first baby, and the little monster shows no signs of evacuating! Bought tickets in a crazily optimistic moment months ago... gah....

Whinegums - do you want to sell your ticket?

Report
whinegums · 30/06/2008 17:39

Hi GentleOtter - thanks for the offer - I am still hoping I might be able to go (naive!), but if not, I'll let DP go with a friend - I haven't told him that yet!

Have a lovely time! God, I just went on to ebay and the tickets are extortionate!
Blow him a kiss from me

I know, ebay prices MAD! But keep an eye out, because Edinburgh might release some more just beforehand - they were still £50 + booking fee - better than ebay prices though!
