what's this music?

It is a woman singing but there aren't any words.
Hard to describe really, but I'm sure it's quite a modern piece.
Seem to remember a tv clip/ advert of somebody singing it on BGT or x factor, but maybe a different country not England. As I don't watch these programmes can't give much more help, sorry.
It sounds quite angelic, opera/ classical (ish)

Any suggestions?

I so want to listen to it as it is so relaxing.
Would look on youtube but don't know the artist or the title.

Can't you track it down via Shazam??

What's shazam?
I don't know anything about it really, just herd it and loved it, but it isn't a catchy tune or anything. it's quite weird and I seem to remember it goes very high with lots of voice but no lyrics.

Not the music they used for British airways a few years ago is it?
Although I've just googled it and it appears to have words :-/ it's called the flower duets if you want to have a listen?

No, Kelper

Not this one, but thanks for the suggestion.

It's more sort of modern but the singer has a very good range as it goes very high.
It's just ah's throughout.

I'm not sure but think it starts with the second note being an octave higher than the first note if anybody understands what I mean.

Is the X factor or BGT the only place you've heard it?

And if it was a clip it's possible there are words elsewhere yes? Where did you see the clip, TV? You Tube?

I love a good music mystery Smile

It could be the first one sung in a more modern way, it's hard when they are taken out of context.
It's not dissimilar to this but the person singing it sounded more modern.

It's hard to explain but it was very light and airy, wherever I saw it there was a comment that said only about 20 people in the world could manage the song, although I'm sure that was an exaggeration.

It's really doing my head in.

Shakey

Yes, so unusual haven't heard it before or since.
I was thinking it must be popular if somebody sung it on one of these programmes though as they don't usually pick unknown pieces. This is what has flummoxed me so much.

This. From 1.07 onwards.

Ok. So it's definitely not an Enya song or snippet, she's had a new song out recently that sounds exactly like all the others or a Bjork song/snippet?

Possibly been on a talent show, possibly abroad. Was it a young singer?

I'll check these out.
I know it was youtube and so annoyed I removed recommendations, but I found all the very young girls singing really disturbing Sad.

This was a really good singer, maybe German, definitely being judged, not a guest star though.

No, I have seen all these but it was more spiritual, airy, nothing pop like at all.
I'm beginning to think I bloody dreamt it now.
This has turned into a mission and I won't sleep.

found it.

Not as great as I remembered it, but still good.
Had no idea she was 12, missed that first time too.
A beautiful song.

I did go to sleep, but it continued to bug me Grin

Hi - only just come back, but I am glad you found it!

For future reference, Shazam is a mobile phone 'app' where you put your phone by the tune that is playing, and it can tell you who, and what it is. It can also tell date of recording, other versions, and I think you can buy the music as well if you wish.

www.shazam.com/company

(I only know because our DS used to work there!)

Ah thank you for the recommendation.
I can remember years back doing this with the numbers down the phone, or across.
My problem is thinking I know where to find the music again, so forget to do this when I hear something.

I don't know what I like about this particular music, maybe it's the range Grin
