Dh would love one and I'm considering a surprise pressie for his bday next month. he is a musician so picks up new instruments quickly. I'm not sure what bass size to buy or what to look out for as a sign of a decent accordion. Our budget is prob around £300-400 so it'll probably have to be fairly basic? Any advice much appreciated (otherwise I'll just buy a pretty one...)
The Accordion Shop has long been one of the go to names in the accordion industry for those looking for both new and used accordions and accordion accessories. Currently run by the third and fourth generation of the family, The Accordion Shop is a strong, family-based business with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to everything related to accordions. With two shops based in Sunningdale, Berkshire and Rochdale, Lancashire, The Accordion Shop also boasts an online shop where accordion enthusiasts or amateur accordion players can order one of a selection of accordions on the telephone for delivery if they cannot make it to one of the two stores. As well as offering good value accordions, both traditional and electronic-midi, The Accordion Shop also repairs damaged or broken accordions (if possible). One of the main aims of The Accordion Shop was to offer an unrivalled service by covering the whole of the UK. Many traditional accordion shops in the UK still refuse to offer UK mainland delivery, which at a time when the Internet is the first port of call for many seems rather strange. By ‘expanding’ online, it was their goal to provide a whole market with quality solutions regardless of where they are located in the UK.
