I might be going to Reading this year. Last time I was there was 1992
Rumours are that Muse will be headlining one of the nights and as a huge fan I obviously can't miss it. I've booked a hotel already, just in case (it's cancellable)
Other than that, nothing. 2010 was a golden year for festivals but I missed them all

I am going to Rebellion punk festival again.We go every year for 4 days of pumkiness and drinking A great time is had by all.
More bands will be added throuhjout the year

Don't you "do" camping? Or do you have a very accurate long-term weather forecast?

We will do glasto if we get VIP tickets otherwise either shambala or beautiful days with the dcs.

Hotels and b&bs quite common s we all get older - liek the boutique camping and tangerine fields etc. Anything to make the mud more bearable.

They arent all that meltedmarsbars - its just another field way off at the top of the site with not much better facilities it just means you can use the cutthrough with a bar in it between the pyramid and the other stage which is damn useful admittedly.

We've got tickets to End of the Road festival. Went last year for the first time and loved it so much. Had been meaning to go since it started but kids were always to young to leave and didn't want to take them.
Having said that, we may take them this year, depends on weather forecast!

I did Reading last year,(am a regular) and Lovebox, took all 3 kids for the whole weekend at reading, and just did a day at lovebox, will def do a day at lovebox this year with the kids, (will have 4 by then) and will prob do a day at reading with all the kids depending on the lineup, or possibly a day at download with the kids (no camping as the new babyshape will only be a few weeks old) am also considering a day at wireless (without kids) and have tickets for kings of leon at hyde park in june, 3 weeks after c section not sure if I thought that one through properly...........

Actually not sure if kids can go to download, I havent been since before I had them....really would love to camp at isle of wight festival with them all, but last year at reading was soooo hard, the weather and mud did put a downer on it a bit and we missed a few bands, but kids had a brilliant time rolling in mud

jellykat Peter Murphy was bloody brilliant. He didn't do Bela or in the flat field. He played acoustically, on a tiny stage. I was about 3 people from the front, just in awe at his greatness. He did a couple of Bauhaus tracks, some Bowie and a few of his solo stuff. He did a fantastic cover of NIN Hurt and a spell-binding version of Bowie's Space Odysessy, which he performed lying down with the rest of his band, for the encore. I enjoyed it very much, it was one of the highlights of my year.

We're thinking of Beautiful Days in Devon in August, with DS (he'll be 2.5). It's meant to be really family friendly.

meltedmarsbars, I just don't fancy camping especially at Reading which is full of 16 year old boys. I camped last time I went and spent the whole time cold, wet and muddy. My tent leaked and my sleeping bag got soaked.

Also there's a whole group of Muse fans (mainly older fans) staying in hotels near the site and planning to walk in together every morning.

Yay, kindred spirits I'm a Glastogal, this year will be my 3rd, and I'm doing my 2nd Shambala and Bearded Theory too :D I went to Leeds fest 5 years running, but sacked it off last year due to the shabby line up and went to Shambala instead, which was a fabulous little festival :D I love the woodlands area, it felt so cosy and nice, and the music at night in there was awesome

Just waiting for the lineups to be announced now. I've got my Shambala and BT tickets paid for already so I just have the balance of my Glasto ticket to pay now, then I can concentrate on travelling and saving up to have some FUN!

Bearded Theory(3rd time, we missed the year of the tornado) and Shambala(4th time) with small person in tow, and Glastonbury(9th i think) without him.

This is what we have planned but often sneak a few more in, probably Alchemy as it's very local to us.

For those who've mentioned Beautiful Days, it's very child friendly. Lovely and small and very safe. They have separate camping for families too and lots of activities for kids.

We'll have a newish-born DC so will be sticking to one day local festivals. Will do Folk By The Oak at Hatfield House and maybe Hop Farm festival in Kent.

Well I'm a tad hippy and DP has dreadlocks, and it appeals to us so perhaps you're right!

Green Man is pretty hippy though, no?!
