Hi @Took thanks for letting us know and apologies you're having trouble completing the survey. We haven't made any modifications to the survey since just prior to posting here, so we're not sure why you're receiving this error - could you confirm which question you're reaching when this error appears?

I was quite a way through it and also got sent back to the beginning but my answers were still there for the first few pages, and then had to re input some pages further on.

I was able to complete it with no problems.

It worked for me.

The question about hours per day is a bit misleading in our answers. On days I can work from home, I do the 3 hrs. On days I have to be out of the house, DH does it. We dont both put in 3 hrs a day.

Also, on the furlough, some of those paid by public funds cant be furloughed - so neither of us have asked because it cant be granted.

First question doesn't reflect the system in Scotland or NI.

The pop up appeared again but let me answer all the questions this time.

@JustineBMumsnet I am so disappointed that this survey doesn't take account of the fact that some people are struggling to balance their own studies with their children's. I have had to give up my Masters degree due to the pandemic but this isn't touched on here - only employment/furlough etc

I had a similar issue re the furlough question, my husband can't ask as he's a police officer, so not an option for him.

Not really geared for self employed people. The question are you in paid employment, suggests to me you are employed not self employed.

I’ve had to give up working to home school, tradesperson can’t work from home. Nothing about that on there.

Is this survey on behalf of anyone @JustineBMumsnet ?

Completed no issues and asks about should schools remain closed etc.
Views on that.

I find the title a bit misleading. Initially I thought you just wanted answers from critical workers with children who are in school physically. I think you should title it school aged children or the responses will be biased.

Also have issues others have mentioned not option for critical worker so cannot furlough which is our scenario

Again, I work for myself so kind of juggle what I have to with homeschooling etc.

Hi there, I've completed it successfully using my elder daughter as the child in the survey, she is 9, and going to school as she has an EHCP. My younger daughter has no additional needs and is at home with me, this in itself is causing some issues as she would prefer to be in school to see those of her classmates who are in. She has zero interest in Zoom, it's a right old hassle just getting her to sit down long enough, her teacher is totally lovely and engaging but she's only 8 (DD, not teacher lol) and it's tough!!

I am also self employed and feel there is a lack of questions relating to this. Most of the questions relating to time off are regarding furlough which is not an option for many of us. It might also have been helpful to gauge how many do not qualify for support for the self-employed (I don't) as this obviously affects whether or not we can reduce working hours with a corresponding impact upon support for children at home.
