We have been asked to conduct a survey to understand more about children's mobile phones.

If you have a child aged 5-17 years old, who either already has a mobile phone or is planning to get a mobile phone in the next 6 months, please let us know your views on some functions that you can use to help control when they make calls, texts, and data usage.

To complete the survey please click here.

Everyone who completes this survey will be put into a draw with a chance to win a £200 John Lewis voucher.

Thankd and good luck,
MNHQ

Done. But can you think about adding 'carer' to the employment section?

Hi Hurr1cane, thanks for the feedback - we've now included 'carer'.

The survey assumes that all mobile phones use data. I can't be the only one whose youngest child has a dumb phone that only makes phones and texts?

I answered those bits as they related to my older child who does have a smart phone.

Done.

I did wish that I had been able to explain that although my DC have 3G/4G enabled on their phones, we (including me) basically have no reception for these in our area. We rely on wifi links to use iMessage.

Q.9 ought to include an option for 'child has phone with no data access'

Report
AuntieStella · 29/10/2015 18:24

I've crashed out now.

There is no option for "I do not want my child to have a data enabled phone yet" . And in later questions for "I have no interest in using this function whatsoever" in later questions about functionality.

Agree. Ds does now have data but only in the past 5 days & because there was a technical problem with his previous bundle.

Done, but like others DD only has a phone - not a smart phone - so a lot of the data stuff was irrelevant for now.

Is it just me or were some of the questions really cumbersome and badly worded. Urghh.

Yes add carer please and I have no idea what q16 meant so had to answer 'neutral'!
