Hey. New here blush loving it but totally confused with the abbreviations. Eg DH - husband... But what's the D for? Etc. What would I call my son in mum's net talk?!

There's a list somewhere, can't remember where though.

You don't have to use them though if you don't want.

PassmetheCrisps thanks for the lists. PS. How do I tag or quote a person?! Sorry major newbie here flowersgincake thanks

gamerchick Sat 15-Apr-17 12:36:41

Or dickhead depending on mood wink

If you want to quote put a * before and after the piece of text you've pasted into the reply box.

If you want to tag it's @username I think.

gamerchick Sat 15-Apr-17 13:00:37

Pain in the arse, hope that helps and yes it does.

Whereismumhiding2 Sat 15-Apr-17 13:02:11

Oh @Passmethecrisps you already did a list link. That's fab!!

beekeeper17 Sat 15-Apr-17 13:04:19

Oh I was so glad to find this list as I couldn't figure out what NC meant, and it's not even on the list! I thought it meant name change but I've seen it used a few times in a different context where that just wouldn't make sense.

Who can help me out here?!

RitzyMcFee Sat 15-Apr-17 13:07:24

Non-contact?

It can definitely be used for name change too.

tribpot Sat 15-Apr-17 13:09:55

There's no way to quote someone, @MumaPhotographer so if you want to refer to some text from a previous post, you copy and paste it into your post and use either ^ at either end to make it italic or * to make it bold.
