Testers wanted for Burger King

We've been asked by Burger King to find ten mums with children between the ages of 4 and 11 to spend the day at its test kitchen (near Hayes and Harlington, London) to try its new kids? menu and to find out more about developments in this area. Volunteers will need to attend between 11am and 2pm.

You?ll also be able to take part in an informal discussion with David Kisilevsky, vice-president of marketing for Burger King EMEA, and Mark Dowding, Burger King chef and director of new product development and innovation, about the kids? meal and ask any questions you may have.

They want a mix of folks who would pop into Burger King and those who normally wouldn't. All they're asking for is feedback from you on the day. On this occasion, Burger King only want mums to attend, sorry but no children.

Everyone who attends will obviously get travel expenses, but will also receive £50 of Amazon vouchers.

IMO BK is actually worse than McDonalds, at least McD offer a bit of variety in their menu, BK it is chips, chips or chips.

not in my area, but could someone please ask why they have to put a batter coating on their fries as I can't eat them as I'm a coeliac. I can have burger (so much tastier than Macdonalds), sans bun, but no fries.....so I have to go to Maccy D's to get my fix of saturated fat and miscellaneous potato product.

Like LackaDAISYcal, I'm coeliac, so could only have a plain burger with no bun, fries, etc. Which means of all the fast food places we don't go to, BK is the one that I haven't set foot in in 10 years.

Would it be soooo much to ask that there be one dish on the menu that us gluten free freaks could eat ? Remember BK - one gluten free person means the whole family or group won't eat with you currently...

Oh yes, we can't eat there at all, as there is nothing wheat free and dairy free for DS2.

it's funny cmot, that the best place for GF when on the motorways is MaccyD's........as I know what I can and can't have in there....yet nearly every sodding motorway service station has a BK

I know LD - it really annoys me, cos although I hate doing the 'burger, no bun' thing, sometimes when I'm on the road, it just hits that spot that M&S takeout doesn't (although that is a lifesaver).

C'mon BK - don't you see your niche as there isn't a single fast food chain that has anything for us ? The number of times that I force people to go to a particular restaurant just because they have a GF option is huge, and I know I'm not alone

back in the day (when I had a life) after a hard nights raving about, I used to pop into the one in Manchester Piccadilly - in fact it may have been a Wimpey then? - anyhoo, spicy bean burger and chips on the way home
