  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Ladies jeans and jumper
Mens fluffy cardigan
Kids coat and heat t-shirt

  1. Which was your favourite product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

Womenswear - jumper as the jeans weren't skinny leg. The jumper was soft, flattering and neutral.
Man's - I loved his jumper but he wasn't keen on the teddy bear fleece look.
Kids - the coat was perfect for this time of the year. Very practical and warm and cosy.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Ladies - the jeans aren't my style (sorry) but that quality of them was lovely. The jumper I'll happily wear again as it was lovely.
Mens - I'm now wearing his jacket. Wish they had sent it in a smaller size for the ladies!
Kids - all we want is for our kids to be warm and comfy when it's cold and these did the job!

  1. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing?

Comfy, warm and good value for money.

  1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Yes absolutely, definitely more of the ladies range! I think the quality is very good it was just me and my need of skinny jeans!

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Women’s ultra light down coat
Child’s coat
Period pants
Men’s jumper

  1. Which was your favourite product and why?

We loved all of them! The women’s coat is so comfortable and light, yet warm.

The children’s coat is the same, and looks lovely.

The period pants are great as well, comfortable and worked really well.

My husband likes the jumper, it looks great and is soft and comfortable.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

They are practical, comfortable and look great. The women’s coat and men’s jumper are smart enough for work wear as well so will get so much use out of them.

  1. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing?

Stylish, comfortable and functional

  1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Absolutely, I will try some other items across all the ranges. I was surprised at the quality of the items and would like to see if that’s reflected across the whole store

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Men's Heattech top, men's down jacket, women's down jacket, women's jeans, period pants (shorts), kids fleece.
  1. Which was your favourite product and why?

(Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)
DH was delighted with both his items but particularly the jacket which he's been wearing non-stop.
For womenswear, I thought the quality of the jeans was great even though they sadly turned out to be the wrong size for me.
We only had one kids product to test - the fleece.
  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

The jackets are ideal on a practical level, though mine doesn't fit me well, but for our lifestyle they're great and I'll consider buying similar for myself (in a different colour/size). We would prefer vegan "down" though, so perhaps they could expand/replace this range in future. Same with the jeans, I'll either try and alter them or possibly repurchase in a shorter length as they seem like they'd be great otherwise.
  1. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing?

Comfy and practical. Not necessarily suited to all British weathers (I don't think they do much that's waterproof) but good for cold and dry days.
  1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Yes, definitely. I'll be buying all of us more Heattech for starters, it's a great range. I'll definitely start considering Uniqlo for jeans shopping.

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Women’s and children’s HEATTECH thermal long sleeved vests.
Men’s and children’s ultra light down coats
Men’s and children’s fleeces
Children’s skinny jeans
  1. Which was your favourite product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

Womenswear: HEATTECH thermal - incredibly thin but very warm ,and I loved the shape of the neck which meant that it didn’t show under any of my jumpers.
Kidswear: good quality jeans. The fleece was very comfortable and warm and described as “very snuggly”. However my son thought it was too furry looking and feminine to wear in front of his friends! My daughter loved the feel and warmth of the thermal vest and the lightness and colour (lilac) of her coat.
Menswear: The fleece was reported to be very comfortable and just right for keeping warm while working from home. The coat was lightweight and great for autumn. They were both slightly short in the body for him (6’).
  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle? Very well. The thermals don’t take up much room, which is great for seasonal items. The lightness of the coats make them easy to carry on a day out. The fleeces are great for keeping warm at home.
  2. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing? Very well designed for comfort and utility. The plain/non patterned designs appealed to all of us.
  3. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why? Yes - the HEATTECH designs for all of us, and the coats and fleeces for my children. I will look into a longer coat in the same style for me.

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Women's: Heattech short sleeved tshirt, Period Pants, Ultralight Jacket
Men's: Joggers, Ultralight Gilet
Children's: Fleeces

  1. Which was your favourite product and why?

Women: Period Pants. Best I've tried. Fit a bit on the small side but great high rise and wide gusset so felt secure and well protected.
Men: Joggers. He lives in trackies but usually the proper sportswear kind with wide legs and zips at the bottom. Now he's not doing so much sport I think he'll migrate to these as he loves the comfort and the fit. They are a bit short though (he's 6'2").
Children: They both loved their fleeces.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Well. We are all about comfort while looking presentable!

  1. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing?

  1. Which was your favourite product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

Womenswear- the jacket. It's perfect for the change of seasons. I really like this and have worn it since it arrived.

Menswear- my husband likes the base layer- he works outside and says this does a very good job keeping him warm.

Kids- they both love their fleeces and wear them all the time. They say they're very warm and snuggly.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Very good- my children don't like huge coats so the jackets are perfect. We're outside a lot so the base layers are very useful.

  1. Which Uniqlo product did you test?

We tested a fluffy fleece jacket for each of the DC, DH had an Ultra light down coat and a heattech crew neck t-shirt and I had an Ultra light down relaxed jacket, heattech socks and sanitary shorts

  1. Which was your favourite product and why?

Out of the products I was sent my favourite was the coat, I wasn’t sure about the relaxed shape at first but I’ve had loads of compliments and it’s really warm. My DH loves his coat and that is his favourite. We only had fleeces to test for the DC but they’ve loved them.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle

The great thing about Uniqlo’s outwear is that even though it’s so warm it is also really light and compact. We’ve had lots of days out over half term and the coats fold up into tiny packets that will fit easily into a bag rather than having to carry a load of bulky jackets over my arm. We also spend quite a lot of time outside and the children’s fleece jackets have had to be washed a few times already. They wash really well and are becoming a wardrobe favourite.

  1. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing

Uniqlo clothing is practical, warm and it looks great.

  1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so for whom and why?

DH was sent a heattech t-shirt which I am really jealous of. I’m always cold and the women’s heattech range looks attractive as well as being a bit warmer than the standard cotton long sleeve top I usually wear under my jumpers.

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Down coat for me, plaid long pleated skirt for me,
Down coat and jeans for DD (9)
Fluffy fleece for DH

  1. Which was your favourite product and why?

DD and I absolutely love our down coats. They are so comfortable and lightweight. I thought that a down coat wouldn't suit me (I'm an extreme pear shape, thanks to the genetic disorder lipoedema) but the length of the coat is really flattering and I have honestly worn it every day since I got it. It's perfect for London weather.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

We were Uniqlo fans before and now are even more. We've always worn Uniqlo knitwear, and my husband loves all the heattech too. I'm a big fan of the collabs, esp with Ines de la Fressange. I have a bunch of Ines x Uniqlo jumpers and dresses and a plum velvet blazer that I've had for years and wear all the time.

4. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing?

Practical but with style, good quality and innovative too.

  1. Would you want to explore more of Uniqlo’s range based on the items you’ve trialled? If so, for whom and why?

Yes of course we'd like to explore more of the Uniqlo range, for all three of us. My husband for knitwear and coats, my daughter for casual weekend clothes, and me for my work from home look. I've got my eye on some Uniqlo sweater dresses!

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Ladies Ultra Light Down Coat, gents Light Down Jacket, 2 kids Padded Parkas, kids Heattech t-shirt, Sanitary Shorts.

  1. Which was your favourite product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

Womenswear: The Light Down Coat really is ultra light and is both stylish and practical. It's a great fit for me and yet still allows for layers worn underneath, is a nice long length and doesn't look bulky. The hood has adjustable elastic cord to ensure a good fit around my face, so it doesn't blow down in the wind. It is water resistant rather than waterproof so isn't suitable for all weather conditions but it stood up well to drizzle and windy weather. At first I thought it would be too thin to keep me warm but it has kept me cosy on autumnal walks on the beach. It's amazing how small it can be folded, and has a handy little bag to put it in should you need to take it off when out. It is hand wash only, but dries quite quickly and is well made.

Menswear: The Light Down Jacket offers warmth yet is light to wear. It's a style that would appeal to both younger and older guys and with it being less bulky, it looks nice and neat on.

Childrenswear: The Padded Parkas are light to wear and deceivingly warm. Well made, with sturdy zips and good sized pockets, they are machine washable which is practical for childrenswear.

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

We love nothing more than to get out on long walks on the coast and in woodland, so these products fit very well with our lifestyle as they keep us warm but don't weigh us down.

  1. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing?

I would describe Uniqlo as offering practical, well designed garments that can be worn alone or with other clothing, allowing you to curate your own style.

  1. Which Uniqlo products did you test?

Men's and women's fleece, down body warmer, children's down coat, women's thermal socks and period pants
  1. Which was your favourite product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable) womenswear- fleece - extremely soft and lightweight but warm, menswear - fleece, same reasons, children's down jacket - really liked this as our son hates heavy jackets and we struggle to get him to wear anything bulky. It was really lightweight but still warm and he loves it.
  2. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle? Really well, getting lots of use on family walks and school run.
  3. Based on the selection of items you tested, in your own words how would you describe Uniqlo and their offering of everyday essential items of clothing? Great offering, comfortable, warm, nice to wear, good quality and seam like they will be durable.

Ladies and Kids Ultra Light Jacket, Ladies and Children's Vests and Sanitary Shorts.

  1. Which was your favourite product and why? (Please share an answer for womenswear, kidswear and menswear, if applicable)

For womenswear, it had to be the heat-tech thermal tshirt. I've never tried thermal underlayers before but it was a revelation - especially on bonfire night. I still can't believe something so unobtrusive can make such a difference.

My little girl loves her new jacket - it helps that it was Red (which is the school uniform colour), but she never complains about wanting to take it off (normally a daily occurrence) and I think that's ebcause it's warm but not bulky like her wool coat. Plus, it's washed very well!

  1. How do the Uniqlo products fit in with your family’s lifestyle?

Fairly well. We're often outdoors - dog walking and going on adventures in the local parks etc . It's nice to know we've got the warmth and waterproof coverage, without having to wear bulky items.
With 3 ultra messy kids the fact that the jackets wash well and dry quickly is such a bonus.
