Do you or a family member have sensitive skin? Sign up to test Surcare sensitive laundry detergent

We are looking for 150 UK Mumsnetters to test Surcare’s sensitive laundry detergent. The test is open to users with a child under the age of 4, and with at least one family/household member who has sensitive skin. The Surcare range is specially formulated with sensitive skin in mind and contains 0% fragrance, acids, enzymes, or dyes. All Surcare’s products have also received the Allergy UK Seal of Approval.

Here’s what Surcare has to say: “We are excited for Mumsnetters to try our sensitive laundry detergent as although we have been around for over 30 years and have a really loyal customer base, we want to spread the Surcare secret far and wide! With eczema cases rising more than 40% in just four years*, we knew we had a responsibility to educate people about some of the chemicals and fragrances found in their washing products. This is particularly relevant when you consider that the onset of eczema and other skin conditions often begins in infancy, so protecting delicate baby skin is crucial. We have spent 30 years perfecting our family of cleaning products so that you can do the everyday with less worry. People often think they’re compromising when they use ‘sensitive’ products, however our range has great cleaning power even on cool and quick washes. We really hope you enjoy using it and can’t wait to hear what you think.”

Selected testers will either receive Surcare’s sensitive laundry capsules or Surcare’s sensitive laundry liquid (both £5.25) to test out on the family laundry, plus Surcare’s fabric conditioner and washing up liquid (both £1.25). We will then ask testers to leave their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey. All testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please sign up here if you are interested in taking part.

Thanks and good luck!

I think it's marvellous stuff. I'm old and have sensitive skin, and a sensitive nose ( dislike the smell of most laundry products ) and it works equally well for a grandchild with sensitive skin.

Please add me to the list.
My skin has been so much worse since Covid19.

I would love to find a product that cleans bed linen and doesn't make sleep an impossibility.
Thank you

Done. I've never tried Surcare but need to use gentle products for my 3yr old due to many products irritating her skin. I'd really like to try this range for her, especially the fabric softener, as that is a product I haven't been able to use without it affecting her skin.

I'm not eligible for the trial, but have used Surcare for years anyway. I really like the no perfume, colouring agents or anything else. I have a water softener and it works really well with that. However I was advised to use the powder, not liquid, when I recently got a new washing machine. Apparently that is standard advice so slightly surprised the powder was not part of the trial. But I hope those who trial the products really like them.

I have eczema and cannot use perfumed or biological products for laundry or personal hygiene. My sons also suffer from sensitive excess prone skin which is very difficult to control as it is so serious and affect large areas of their bodies. It would therefore be great to receive a tester product to trial.

Would definitely like to test. I have a child, who is autistic, has complex needs and sensory issues.

All of my children have sensitive skin, but it is really problematic finding a laundry detergent for my autistic child, as he does not like the smell of the two leading brands of washing powder.

I'd be rest interested to try the laundry stuff with 3 out of 4 people on the home suffering with Eczema, and I suffer on and off with contact dermatitis in the hands. However, I wouldn't buy it to trial it myself because I’ve used surcare washing up liquid for years and found it made no difference really, which kind of made me wonder if it all works really. Truth is, I have to wear rubber gloves if I really want to avoid itchy, sore rashes. However I'm really open to it helping with eczema, and would give it an open-minded chance.

Powder is not advised for many washing machines as it clogs up, so that surprises me that you were advised to use it. I was told never ever to use powder in any washing machine when I got mine, how bizarre

Never used Surcare brand but love the sound of it. I have sensitive skin and always use the non-bio liquid or powder. In find the powder does not always dissolve 100% so the liquid is far better. Another member of the family finds using powder makes his skin itch. Love to sample this product.
