We tested the Toomies Foam Cone Factory, our initial impression was good, it looked like a lot of fun.
My child loved the bubbles that came out of the toy, he had so much fun with it.
I would definitely choose to purchase this toy over other bath toys in the future.
Yes I would definitely recommend this Toomies bath toy to friend and family, it’s a great toy.
The only issue we had with this toy is when the handle is pulled to get the bubbles out it slid down the wall so we had to put a bottle underneath it to stop it moving but other than that I can’t fault the toy. A little bit of bubbles lasts ages and it gave my child so much fun that he actually didn’t want to get out because he was so busy making us all bubble ice creams

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

Octopals. Good first impression, all the packaging was recyclable.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My kids went absolutely mental for this toy. They enjoyed squirting eachother with the mini octopi, choosing which was their favourite, and pouring water out of the mum octopus.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes, although caveat this with waiting to see if the squirters go all manky with black mould inside within a few months.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Magically prevent it from getting mouldy

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

Toomies Fountain Rocket, looked fun and different to other products.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My daughter liked that it had a little star inside and when the water came out of the bottom everytime it got her excited. I liked that it was it simple to use and straightforward. I disliked that there wasn't much else going on except the fountain part would of been good if there was another feature too.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Probably not as it was abit too simple probably better for younger children.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes I would we do like the bright colours and design of these toys
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Maybe a floatable astronaut or alien to go inside or even the star to be able to go in and out.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

Toomies foam cone factory. First impression was it looked really good
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

Ds who is 4 loved it but dd who is 21 months couldn't pull the lever. Ds had to do the ice creams cones for dd, so it definitely encouraged playing nicely together.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Not unless I was able to have a try before I bought it. There would be no point purchasing something suitable for 18 months plus if the toy was unusable.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

No as above. It was great for a 4 year old but not for smaller dc
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Ensure the lever wasn't as stiff

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested Toomies Foam Cone Factory and we absolutely love it. Such fun.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My little one finds different 'uses' for the bubbles all the time. Sometimes, it's icecream as intended, but others it's a car wash station, or a hairdressers station, or a food machine for her dollies tea party. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination of the little ones.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes, absolutely
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Definitely

We tested the foam cone factory. In terms of initial impressions, the toy looked really good. Very bright and colourful. We love the penguin! However my daughter hasn't had her first ice cream yet so she didn't know what it was or what she was supposed to do! She spent a lot more time shaking the cones around and making the bubbles go everywhere, which was hilarious apparently! She didn't like how hard it was to pull the lever though, mummy had to help with that. We also found that adding food colouring made the foam change colour which made it more fun.

In the future, we would probably choose something like the fountain over this toy as my little girl is a bit small for it at the moment really. Give it six months to a year though and she will love it! Definitely we'll made, though it would be good to know if replacement parts are available to buy, like the suction cups and cones.

We would definitely recommend Tomy Toomies to other parents looking for bath toys as they are fun and sturdy - very well made!

The only thing I would change would be to make the lever easier for little hands to pull - it was very stiff, even for adults.

All in all though, it was a fantastic product! Looking forward to many more hours of fun with it.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
The rocket. It was colorful and looked sturdy and that it would last. The children were incredibly excited to open it.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?*

C*hildren absolutely loved playing with this toy. Has great fun filling it up and creating fountains of water. The only problem I had was it is very messy as the water was going outside the bath a lot. We played with it in the paddling which was better.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future

Yes
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

The starfish feature is ineffective as it dies do much. I think a pop up astronaut or something would be better.

Octopals, box was a bit boring so my child wasn't initially interested but the actual toy is nice and bright and interactive

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

It kept her occupied for a while due to the different functions/way to play, didn't really dislike anything but it's not her favourite

No

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Nothing about the toy but make the box more attractive to encourage a purchase or request from child

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the Toomies Fountain Rocket. Overall, very positive first impression. I haven't seen anything like/similar to this before.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My child loved watching the fountain of water coming out the bottom. I liked the fact that she was able to use it on her own, without much help from me.
I didn't like the fact that the fountain was the only feature it had, quite disappointing.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

I would if it was for a younger child or baby. But my child is 14 months, and despite it keeping her entertained initially, she did get bored of it after a while. I think it was because it was just a bit too simple.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Probably not. If the toy had better features, then yes. But as it was aimed at children of my daughter's age, I just think they would get bored too easily. However, for the design and colour aspect, then yes.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

This toy does need something extra. Like a figure or something that floats around inside or outside. Like a floating astronaut or alien, something that you can wind up and let go. Or like a pop up astronaut at the top, so when it fills with water, it causes the figure at the top to pop up.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tried the octopals. I was very impressed, immediately thought it would make a great 1st birthday present. All the packaging is recyclable too which is a bonus.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My child loved it in the bath (but actually played it for a good while after I unpacked it 'on dry land'. They spent a long time delighted in trying to balance them on 'mummy octopus'. Then when we discovered they could stick to the side if the bath that was v fun.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I would but same as a pp I worry that the small squirty bits will go mouldy, especially as we have to use emollient in the bath

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would and I would consider them as presents too. They feel well made

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I cant see how and it still work but it would be nice if they didn't go gunky, perhaps it would be an option just to buy the small pieces as the main float and mummy wont be affected

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We chose the foam cone factory to test. Initial impressions were great, the colours were nice bright and engaging and it looked very retro.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My son loves bubbles and was thrilled that this one made little ice cream cones from the bubbles. He loves role play too so this was perfect.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Absolutely! My son sometimes is scared of the bath and of water and this toy has helped him massively! It was the first stress free and cry free bath ever. He actually didn't want to get out of the bath in the end!

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Absolutely! Like I mentioned, it's been a game changer for bathtime in our house. It's easy for my son to use and pull the handle. He loves making us ice creams and putting on the "sprinkles". A little bubble bath goes a long way and we didn't have to refill during bath time. It's great for encouraging role play and imaginative play which is fantastic. The four suckers held it firmly in place on our bathroom wall too.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Maybe an option to open the front cover to ensure the insides do not get moudly would be the only suggestion

-Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Foam cone factory. Thought it looked bright and fun. Found it difficult to get out the packaging though.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

We loved it, it was fun and engaging and kids played together to take orders and make the cones. (Even 9yr old shared a bath with toddler to get a chance at playing with it!). I like that it attaches to wall/bath and all the bits have a place so easy to tidy away.
The handle can be a bit stiff though and I think younger children might struggle and it could be likely to break.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Maybe, yes depending on price.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Maybe.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Make the bottle bit removable as it's impossible to rinse and dry the whole thing so it's likely to get mould in it eventually.

Thanks for letting us test this.

- Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We got the rocket, and first impression: a LOT of plastic and cardboard packaging for a low-tech toy that doesn't do much (the only feature is the fanning out of water). I couldn't see my daughter liking this at all.

- What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
I felt so guilty about the plastic and environment impact of this toy. I also didn't like that it was so massive and took up so much space, but I was open to my daughter liking it. She (16 months) was nonplussed. Every night I show her how the water fans out, but she's just not interested.

- Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Definitely not.

- Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Based on this, no. Sorry.

- If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
More features. Any baby over 6 months will surely find this toy really tedious. Also there's no need for so much plastic. A quarter of its size would be adequate.

Thank you for selecting us to take part Smile

- Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?**
We tested the fountain rocket, first impression was brilliant. Son was desperate to get in out the box and play, is colourful and really caught his attention

- What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
It was different from his other toys so he went straight to play with it at bath time, however it is quite basic so he lost interest quite quickly sadly. At 22 months his vocab is really important so 'rocket' is now another word to add to the list so I was happy with that! He got the concept of it instantly so is easy for them to play with

- Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Probably not, it's great value for money and he did enjoy it but not for long, it's big so takes up a lot of space and think he's a bit too old for it and would have suited a slight younger child instead! 6 months ago he would have loved it!

- Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes especially to those with slightly younger children! We will also be trying other products in the Toomies bath toy range

- If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Possibly add a bubble aspect to it or just a bit more for older children to do with it

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

I tested the foam cone factory with my 23 month old daughter. She was very excited when I was opening the toy, I told her it was for her to play with in the bath before bed time and all day she kept asking for ice cream and a bath!! I was impressed with the look of the toy and the instructions were pretty easy. My daughter loves playing with this toy and making ice creams with the bubbles, although I did have to stop her from trying to lick the bubbles like an ice cream!! Overall my first impression of the toy was great.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

There wasn't much that my daughter disliked about the toy except that it did keep slipping on the side of the bath which frustrated her but I remedied this by not wetting the sticky pads first and just sticking it to the bath whilst dry and it stuck pretty well.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes I would choose to purchase this bath toy over others because I think it is different to other toys and keeps your little one entertained whilst in the bath.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I would maybe make the handle a little easier to pull as my daughter dies struggle a little with it.

Overall were very happy with the product and will continue to use it at bath times :)

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We had the Toomies fountain rocket, I really liked its simplistic design and how much my youngest loved it, he had it straight out and in the bath that evening!
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My little boy loves that it's a rocket, he loves all vehicles with wheels or that can fly at the minute, so he loves this! There wasn't anything I or he disliked I don't think
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

oh without a doubt, he loves it and has become one of his favourite bath toys now, he will always pick it over his previous favourites
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

yes definitely, I have actually just purchased it again for my nephew as he loved it whe he came to mine
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I love it as it is, but I would love to add a feature that allowed the rocket to hold water, or release the water at a buttons touch maybe? When it's lifted to drip like a fountain, the water runs out quickly

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals. I thought it looked great, very bright and colourful. Simple but effective concept.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My one year old loved squirting the water. With our other squirty bath toys she doesn’t have the hand strength yet to squeeze the water herself, but octopals were made from a much softer material and she could squeeze them no problem. Some of them didn’t squirt out the water as well as others, as though there was a blockage in the hole at the bottom? Out of the 8 squirty toys, 2 had the issue where it was difficult to squeeze the water out. She loved knocking off all the little octopals from the floating mummy octopus so they scattered everywhere. Emptying all the squirty toys of water at the end of bath time is a bit time consuming but I guess this is required to prevent them growing black mould inside which I think would put me off from purchasing.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

I think it is a great toy but as the cleaning and maintenance of all of the little octopals to ensure they don’t fill with black mould will be very time consuming, I would certainly be put off.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

My little one certainly has loved playing with this in her bath, so for that reason I would recommend it, with a warning that it’ll be a faff to keep clean!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

As a previous poster suggested, if there would be a way to stop the toys going black mouldy inside, or even providing proper instructions on how to keep these clean to prevent it happening.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

They loved the concept and all the foam coming out. However it hasn’t really stuck properly to the bath or tiles so kept moving when they pulled the handle and this annoyed and frustrated them.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Not this particular one due to sticking issues but yes to general tomy products.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes as concept is brilliant seen sone advice on this thread that should help with sticking issue.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
