This is the feedback thread for the 250 Mumsnet users who have been testing Sunbites in Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream and Cracked Black Pepper flavours.

I really enjoyed the flavour of the Crisps but I didn't like the Lack or Crisps per bag, and wasn't fussed on The grainy aftertaste of the crisp.
Would you choose sunbites as a snack?
No, don't get me wrong I really liked the flavour of the crisps, but there are others out there are tastier and have more per bag!
What did you think of the Sunbites flavours you tried?
I'm more of a cheese & onion Kind of Girl, so I thought the Sour cream & cracked black pepper would have been my favourite (they were yummy) but then I tried the Chilli flavour and they tasted Amazing! But it's such a shame the Grainy taste overpowered the Aftertaste!
Would you buy Sunbites as a sharing bag or not?
No I wouldn't purchase these as a Share bag, I much prefer others out there on the market.
If Sunbites could launch a new flavour, what would you like it to be?
A meaty flavour like Cajun chicken

Really satisifed - I really wasn't sure whether I would like them but would definitely recommend these to other people and also buy them again!

1. What did you like / dislike about Sunbites?
   

I liked the texture and the flavours available. I didn't dislike anything about the crisps themselves, but noticed the packaging isn't able to be recycled which might sway some people to not buy them.

Yes definitely.

I preferred the sour cream flavour but the sweet chilli flavour was nice - DP preferred the sweet chilli.

Probably not - for me these were more suitable for something to do with a sandwich at lunchtime to prevent me from buying crisps that had more fat, salt and calories.

1. If Sunbites could launch a new flavour, what would you like it to be?
   

Something with soy sauce and balsamic - I love the flavour of the new pea snacks but not too keen on the texture so if the flavour could be used with the Sunbites this would be amazing!

I really enjoyed them. I tried them ages ago and thought they tasted a bit like cardboard. They have improved massively. Both the flavours were tasty. I think the size is just right for a quick snack. There wasn't anything negative about them.

They were both really good. I preferred the soured cream. The strength of flavour was perfect.

How satisfied were you with Sunbites?
We really liked them. As part of a small lunch with a sandwich and as a standalone snack.
What did you like / dislike about Sunbites?
The flavouring was just right, it wasn't overpowering. The chilli left a nice heat without being too much. The only thing anyone said against them were that they were a little bit too crunchy.
Would you choose sunbites as a snack?
Yes, in fact we bought some more of the sour cream ones in the weekly shop.

They were really nice and different to your usual prawn cocktail or ready salted.

Depends, maybe for a BBQ or a little get together? But on a regular basis, probably not.

Something meaty! Maybe a chicken as it tends to be lighter meat flavour which would compliment the texture

Nice flavour, crunchy, not too calorific. Thought the sweet chilli flavour were a bit sweet tasting, odd for a savory snack.

I prefered the sour cream and black pepper, although DH prefered the sweet chilli. I though the sweet chilli ones were a bit sweet and not savory enough. The sour cream ones are lovely.

Very. Free stuff is always nice, and these were tasty.

I disliked the fact they are packaged as being a healthy alternative, but actually on the nutritional information they're in all orange and red categories so they're really not as healthy as all that. However, I liked them in themselves as a crisp: really fresh and crunchy, good flavours and texture. So as long as you don't expect them to be good for you (!), that's fine!

Yes, actually. They would make a nice change from other kinds of crisp.

1. What did you think of the Sunbites flavours you tried?
   

Sour cream flavour: My DC aged 3 said "It tastes like the ocean" and "I don't really like too salty crisps". They didn't want to eat all the ones I gave them. I personally quite liked them: they taste like Hedgehog Crisps from 1980s health food shops, if anyone remembers those. They were quite sweet, which I was surprised by - sugar does come quite high up the ingredients list.

Chilli flavour: DC aged 3 said "Mmm, not bad" and "I want another crisp". These were still quite sweet, and less salty than the other flavour.

1. Would you buy Sunbites as a sharing bag or not?
   

I think so, maybe for having with pre-dinner drinks with friends.

Something a bit more unusual - paprika? Cardamom?

1. How satisfied were you with Sunbites? More impressed than I thought I would be. I would be quite happy to find these in the cupboard when looking for a snack.

They also seem to have a lot of calories for such a small bag. The texture also reminded me of bacon frazzles but not as tasty...

1. I was very satisfied with these crisps they went down well with the whole family from my 76 year old father (who wouldn't share with my mum as he liked them so much) down to my 10 year old daughter.
   
   
2. It may sound weird but I liked the fact they weren't as moreish as other crisps/snacks, one bag was enough as a snack for the children. The feed back from my Dad was they tasted like Ryvitta, but that was ok as he likes Riviera.

4. We liked them both, I think the Chilli might have been slightly more popular but there wasn't much in it.

2. I liked the fact that Sunbites are baked. I disliked the fact that they contain wheat and are therefore unsuitable for anyone with a gluten/wheat intolerance. Someone in our family has this, meaning that I am unable to buy Sunbites to use for a shared buffet, so would choose another snack in preference.
3. Maybe, for my children as they both enjoyed them.
4. The sweet chilli was slightly too sweet. I preferred the sour cream and pepper.
5. I would not buy as a sharing bag as they contain wheat.
6. A new flavour I suggest is beetroot and goats cheese.

Chilli had a tiny bit of heat but then I am a wuss as far as hot spices are concerned. Sour cream and pepper was OK.

No. Prefer the portion control single bags give.

In my mind they seem to lend themselves to a tomato flavour of some kind - maybe sun ripened tomato and basil? Or tomato ketchup?
