We’re still looking for 16 Mumsnet users to try out isoshealth, a service that allows you to book one-to-one video appointments with Registered Practitioners, focusing on mind, body or nutrition.

Here’s what Kim Guest, isoshealth CEO has to say: “40 % of recorded deaths in UK are Lifestyle related, 1 in 3 of our secondary school of age 10-11 children are obese or overweight. Access to these services through NHS are shrinking. We are a business that believes in human conversations making the most difference.

We connect consumers with our hand-picked practitioners who want to help them feel better via one-to-one video consultations. An integrated team providing advice precisely tailored to their individual life circumstances.

This personalised approach breaks down the barriers that hold so many people back from getting the help they need. We give everyone the opportunity to benefit from the proven winning-formula of a multi-disciplinary team, the same approach that get results in the world of professional sport: a Dietitian, Physiotherapist and Psychologist.”

Selected testers will receive consultations with a dietitian, physiotherapist or psychologist and will need to give their feedback on a thread on Mumsnet. All who give their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

If you’d like to take part and test it, please click here.

If you'd already tested the service and want to leave your feedback, please go to the feedback thread here.

Thanks and good luck!

No, you don't need any payment details at all. You need to do it on a laptop (not a phone) for it to work best and said Chrome is good though set up initially on Internet Explorer. They send a pincode to your e-mail each time you login.

picklemepopcorn Wed 24-Jul-19 19:37:59

Ok. I'll need to swap gadgets. Thank you.

ItsClemFandangoCanYouHearMe Sat 27-Jul-19 13:17:17

Well I just sat waiting for 15 minutes past my appointment time and no call came. Did the pre call test and was all set up waiting but I didn't even get a notification to say the practitioner was running late / cancelled. What a waste of time.

InvisibleHamster Sun 28-Jul-19 13:14:41

It wants me to enter payment details so I haven't been able to choose an appointment yet. Perhaps I was too slow to register but I've out a lot this week so today was the first chance I've had to sit down and look at my diary. I've messaged them on the chat but no one is available until tomorrow.

LosingLola Sun 28-Jul-19 13:16:40

The practitioner I've been given is only available 10-3 on Thursdays, and 1-3 on Wednesdays, which is when I'm at work. I can't see any way to change practitioner but I can't do these times.

northernlites Sun 28-Jul-19 13:22:44

I have registered got as far as appointment booking (which are very restrictive) and then had leave it to sort kids out with something.
When I came back to it it wanted me to start all over again 🤦🏻‍♀️

picklemepopcorn Tue 30-Jul-19 08:07:47

I haven't bothered.
Too much hassle for a 30min appt.
I get different screens and therapist choices depending which button I select, and I can't do it on my iPad.

Kerrywerrywoo1 Tue 30-Jul-19 13:42:37

Well, I ‘won’ one consultation with a psychologist. Got quite excited and anxious hoping they could help me. Logged in fine... I had a very nice lady who specialises in CBT .... something that has not worked for me....we spent 30 mins with me telling her about my past and reasons for chronic anxiety/agoraphobia/panic attacks, blah. Ended session with an invite to book and pay for more sessions so we can ‘get started’ and a promise to send me info on CBT. No info sent. Tbh I feel a bit cheated. I didn’t ‘start feeling better today’ the advert fact I felt like shit after dragging up all my old crap. She didn’t send me any info so I also feel like she ‘didn’t care’. Pissed off.. YES. I wrote quite detailed notes in my application so would have felt useful to give me ‘some’ kind of positive helpful blurbed take away .....grrr. Annoyed and wished I had not bothered because now I feel like I really need therapy but can’t afford it and I don’t think CBT works for me anyway as already done that. Anyway, pissed off. Lol 😂

picklemepopcorn Tue 30-Jul-19 17:17:58

That's it Kerry, let it all out! wink

Seriously though, that is rubbish. And careless on their part. The least they could do was read your notes beforehand and possibly even decide that it would be inappropriate to attempt to treat you in any way in one 30min session. Poor show.

northernlites Tue 30-Jul-19 17:32:25

From what you're saying @Kerrywerrywoo1 we are not really testing their products then,
but just part of an advertising and recruitment drive
Sorry you had a bad experience with them

LosingLola Tue 30-Jul-19 20:04:35

I agree with other comments - the service is terrible and I will not be recommending it.

I contacted them the other day at the same time I posted my message here. I was told I'd receive a reply between 9am-5pm yesterday. I didn't, so I've now chased that - to be told that I received a reply within 3 minutes of my initial email! Well, I can tell that's a lie because I contacted them on Sunday and they are apparently only open Monday-Friday for support.

I've now been told I can't change practitioner unless I sign up again with a new email address. I can't do this because of the trial, but equally don't see why this is necessary.

The site is advertising availability between 7am and 9pm 7 days a week. To then be given a practitioner that has such limited availability (3 hours Wednesday afternoon, slightly longer on Thursday) is really not as advertised.

I've wasted my time filling in the questionnaire before I even got to this point. The initial sign up was not particularly easy so that took a while, and then I was honest answering the questions. The website cannot be used on a mobile phone browser as there is no log in link, and the log in process is awkward as you're emailed a code instead of just using a password.

LosingLola Tue 30-Jul-19 20:06:52

Sorry, only 2 hours on a Wednesday. Even worse availability than my last post said! Really, really not the advertised time slots.

PenguinsRabbits Tue 30-Jul-19 20:27:28

I got given 3 consultations and a choice of practitioners and times, did it on laptop using Chrome. I could choose which team of 3 I wanted out of 5 teams and it said when each team was available e.g. 4pm to 9pm Wed and I could choose exact slot. The CBT one was just an assessment and did ask me to book more but the other two gave advice all 30 minutes. I got leaflets from all 3 including unhelpful thinking from CBT one.

AnchorDownDeepBreath Wed 31-Jul-19 13:00:35

I've had the same experience as everyone else. I've really tried to give it chance, but after two weeks, it feels like this is full of glitches and a thinly-disguised recruitment drive rather than anything else...

Which is silly, because instead of a group of people who may well have talked about how much Isoshealth helped them and how good it was, they've now got a group of people who feel missold and annoyed, and probably wouldn't recommend them.

MamImHere Wed 31-Jul-19 13:07:14

I had a session but they basically used the free session to get people to sign up for more sessions you have to pay for. I wasn't impressed

I’m glad ( but sad!) so many of us have had the same disappointment!! I’m not unaware I have a complex history of anxiety and any very advanced practitioner would see me as a good test of their knowledge haha but to give me only an option of CBT sorry. No help whatsssss so ever plus to not even bother sending me the info on it even tho I was genuinely interested and made it clear I’d like to have this info!!? POOR SHOW ISOHEALTH. Sorry...backfired I think !

Kerrywerrywoo1 Wed 31-Jul-19 21:06:22

Sorry last world (pmsl ) no offence to the very nice lady I spoke too ( who failed to send me my paperwork..) but....having checked online she is an accredited CBT that even a Psychologist? Mmm misleading!! In fact when you google it it’s listed under ‘simple psychology ‘. For me this was a poorly ‘prescribed’ therapist. Under qualified for my issues and the idea that ‘talking therapy’ would help me is a bit of a joke. I have ‘talked’ for 29 years with assorted therapists pmsl. I did this out of curiosity and never exactly expected anything to come of it but I am willing to ALWAYS try...but I do find it a bit insulting to their new clients that they may potentially be offering incorrect/inefficient ‘help’ - therefore lining their pockets and the client getting nowhere....

@YanaMumsnet - I think Mumsnet has been misled. You can't product test a mental health service like it's a vacuum cleaner. Or if this is just a service for supporting people without eating disorders to lose weight, then it needs to be made much more clear.
Also a bit misleading, maybe just a bad coincidence, that the company name is very similar to iesohealth who are an online metal health provider with NHS contracts.

InvisibleHamster Fri 02-Aug-19 20:22:00

I really wanted to try it but I've run out of energy tbh. When I got in touch with their help I was told to try again in an incognito window. But the thing is, if most of us are mums, we have limited time and mental energy. I really can't face trying to make one appointment twenty times on a site with a terrible login system and a lot of grammar issues (ok 'only' grammar but creates a lack of trust).

ThatCurlyGirl Sun 04-Aug-19 21:31:46

Hi @MNHQ can I ask whether it's ok to give feedback on the session I had and cancel the other two?

I just feel pretty uncomfortable with further using the service, for various reasons included those mentioned by some other PP, especially as obviously it's to be used when you're already feeling vulnerable and in need of professional help.

Sorry, I was so excited about testing it!

And as I said more than happy to provide feedback on the session I've had.

macblank Tue 06-Aug-19 22:36:44

I.lost the email to this campaign, and I can't do it now, so wanted to reply n back out.

My fiancée has developed cancer and has had an operation, and not feeling great, so not really a good time to do this.

YanaMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 07-Aug-19 10:11:55
