I've had a mooch round the website. Might be missing something but can only find a price if I start the booking process. It then says I've got a 50% discount and it will cost £200 for 6x30 min sessions - 2 appointments each with 3 professionals. So is the normal price £400 i.e. £66.66 per 30 min session.

I can have a 30 min session with a physiotherapist in person for £40. This covers a physical examination, the physio guiding me through the exercises - often manually correcting me where I'm going wrong , and some manipulation when needed.

DSis has been seeing a nutritionist and the first 30 mins (at least) of her initial appt were spent going through DSis's current diet, medical conditions and goals. After the appointment the nutritionist also put all her recommendations (and lots of recipes) in a written report. Does on the online dietician do this?

LauraMontreville - it's pretty unclear what it is that is available here because the text reads:

So it might be one consultation with one of the three or >1 with one of the three. When I looked at their website, it wasn't clear that dietitians are involved because I only saw references to practitioners who are "nutritional therapists".

I wonder if MNHQ might invite isoshealth to revise the text.

I'd also query the percentage of secondary school children who are OBESE (why use CAPITALS?)

In the Health Survey for England,23%of children aged 11 to 15 were obese in 2016 (Sunday Times 2018). And the majority lived in areas of deprivation, so their parents are unlikely to have £66.66 to chuck at an online "nutritional therapist" for a 30 minute chat.

it mentions psychologists. What type of psychologists are they? Clinical, counselling? Qualifed?

I wouid definitely like clarification on whether their providers are dietitians or nutritionists.

Also, what are their SOPs to ensure all their practitioners are working safely, especially for those with pre-existing conditions.

First reaction is that this is a rather expensive way to access practitioners, in a way that might be less useful than face-to-face. I can see it might be somewhat more useful for those who live more remotely. But might they baulk at prices that are higher than for London face-to-face?

isoshealth is showing some RDs/dieticians with other practitioners who are nutritional therapists.

Similarly, there seem to be chartered psychologists and other practitioners who are accredited in CBT etc.

Well firstly your marketing team needs a swift kick up the arse. The name is fucking terrible! On first glance it reads as IsoSHEATH, which sounds like a medicated condom manufacturer. It takes a few reads to work out it's actually isosHEALTH.

Quite frankly, I couldn't get past that to bother clicking on the website as I immediately think you must be amateurs.

Thank you for the clarification - I was aware when I wrote my initial comment that the actual data were probably for overweight and obese age-groups and wanted this corrected because these are different clinical pathways, associations, and realities.

However, neither the corrections to the main text, nor the additional comment are adequate. The linked data source very clearly states the age ranges and it doesn't include the secondary school children above the age of 11.

Similarly, the linked data for "attribution of deaths to risk factors and broken down by broad causes of death in England" is not wholly synonymous with “40 % of recorded deaths in UK are Lifestyle related".

I am trialling this and its 30 mins with each of a dietician / nutritionist, mental health (one I have does cbt), physiotherapist so 1.5 hours in total. You do fill in forms to give in your medical history and medications. All look appropriately qualified. I had a choice of 5 different teams of 3.

For one I choose times were 4pm to 9pm one evening but you could pick exact time slots. It says price is £120 reduced to zero so £40 per session if you are doing 3.

sounds like they are not transparent as they advertise psychologists but they use a range of therapeutic practitioners. A psychologist is usually more expensive than other talking therapists.

isoshealth wanted to clarify few things, here's what they have to say:

"Here at isoshealth, as a minimum, our practitioners must be regulated by either the HCPC or the BABCP. This means that we only work with Dietitians, Psychologists, CBT Psychotherapists and Physiotherapists. We want to ensure that you, as the customer receive information, advice and guidance from those who meet the highest standard for their industry. The feedback we have received via the forum has been incredibly helpful for us in understanding how we speak about, and present our practitioners. Thank you. I have just had the 3 sessions tonight. They were very good and helpful and all 3 seemed knowledgeable and well qualified. 3 in one night is a bit intense but useful and think you can choose to spread them out.

Were a few technical issues - it kept saying I hadn't had session when I had then I couldn't see the screen to start next session. It seems to be if you just click end phone call it doesn't count it there's another button you must press as well. Think they need to make that more obvious like 'End call' button. Very good value at £40 - they did 30 minutes on phone then sent notes after and had read my notes before so easily an hours work for consultant.

Dietician went through my diet and where I could be nutritionally deficient and made recommendations - main one was iron for me. If you want to lose weight think they will help you with that.

Mental health went through any issues and could come up with CBT plan.

Physiotherapist suggested how to exercise safely given health issues and what exercise to do. Suggested yoga which I wouldn't have thought of but useful.

Not sure if you have to take all 3 or just as you need, they came as teams. I thought it was excellent as one-offs.

No, you don't need any payment details at all. You need to do it on a laptop (not a phone) for it to work best and said Chrome is good though set up initially on Internet Explorer. They send a pincode to your e-mail each time you login.
