JimJams have asked us to find 250 lucky Mumsnetters to test out their hazelnut chocolate spread. Testers will be sent one 350g jar of their 83% Less Sugar Hazelnut Chocolate Spread to try out with their family and will then be asked to leave feedback on a thread on Mumsnet.

Here’s what Kellie Bath, the co-founder of JimJams, had to say about the low-sugar treat: ‘As a mum, I was shocked at the amount of sugar found in most chocolate spreads (the equivalent of 57 sugar cubes per 400g jar). I decided to create a range of spreads that tasted amazing but with a fraction of the sugar (83% less sugar than leading brands!).

Our chocolate spreads are available in hazelnut and milk chocolate varieties. They have won Great Taste Awards, are officially kinder to teeth (approved by The British Dental Health Foundation) and are gluten free.

We use Maltitol to sweeten our spreads which is derived from a natural source (not artificial). It has nearly half of the calories than sugar, is kinder on teeth and diabetic friendly.

The tiny amount of palm oil used (one third palm to two thirds rapeseed) is fully sustainable and certified by the RSPO.’

For those of you with nut allergies and/or dairy intolerances in your family, please be aware that this product does contain nuts and milk, so it’s probably not for you (but keep an eye on our upcoming product tests for other options). Here is a link to the list of ingredients.

If you’d like to try JimJams, please enter your details here to sign up for the product test. If you’re selected, your jar will be with you soon and you’ll be required to leave some feedback on the thread on Mumsnet. All testers who comment on the thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

This would be a fantastic opportunity for my children and family. We went through a large full jar of Nutella and had to buy another in one breakfast sitting, when my nephews and nieces were staying over. They all have very big appetites and are very active children, in our family. I was really shocked though lol 😂

wow, the perfect product to test for my family. We are mad about chocolate spreads. YUM

cornflakegirl Mon 26-Jun-17 16:35:12

Just checked it out on the Tesco website. Not a big calorie difference (around 500kcal per 100g compared with Nutella at around 550), and roughly the same price. But the lower palm oil usage is also a selling point for me. Will sign up to test - if DS2 likes it, I'd probably swap.

Entered - very interested to see what this will be like!!

I'm sad you have to have children to take part! I'm a chocolate spread fiend and would love to try one with less sugar for myself blush

I want this. I want it on toast. And ds wants it on the world's biggest stack of pancakes...

MNHQ - please can you check if you received my survey? WiFi dropped out on me. Thank you.

This would be perfect for us! My son had it in porridge, on toast, on pancakes!

Fab, have signed up. I've seen this in the shops but wasn't convinced it wouldn't be rank - so would be good to try it! grin

TellMeItsNotTrue Mon 26-Jun-17 21:14:28

Sounds great, and I like that it's a hazelnut spread rather than a chocolate spread, as nobody in the family likes chocolate but all love Nutella

DreamsInBlack Mon 26-Jun-17 21:23:48

Boo, son's too old to apply for this - but I've niece & nephew who'd fit the bill - and a chocolate/hazelnut spread connoisseur for a partner. Shame envy
