My biggest facial issue is acne but also really dry areas aswel. Due to having two different types of skin on my face I have found it really hard to find something that works for both and doesn't irritate one while sorting the other out.

My biggest issue is allergic reactions - I am not sure what to, could be household cleaning products, alcohol, wheat or something in biscuits!!! Anyway, i find the Liz Earle original clean and polish is the only thing that sorts it, combined with really good, quite lengthy massaging action.

Non-tester here. My biggest facial skincare problem is large pores. They are especially across my cheekbones and I have some around a scar on my lower cheek which can easy get clogged.

Thank you for sending me this to try. I've really enjoyed trying new products on my skin. I haven't used Liz Earle products before, I normally use Origins skin care products.

I like the packaging, the bag for the Cleanse and Polish will be especially useful for taking away. My only criticism would be that at least one more of the cloths would be useful - I only do one white wash each week and I felt I would like to change the cloth more often than roughly every 3 days. Initially I loved the smell of the moisturiser, but wasn't sure if I liked the smell of the Cleanse and Polish. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

I would say that I did notice instant changes after using the Cleanse and Polish - the main one being that my skin didn't feel tight. Normally I feel that I need to use moisturiser pretty much straight after cleansing, but with this I was comfortable in waiting to moisturise. My skin felt cleaner than normal and the product was efficient in removing all traces of make up and grime. I would award 5 stars for each aspect and would definitely recommend to friends.

After using the moisturiser I noticed my skin feels softer than normal. I have really enjoyed using this and it does feel like a quality product. However, despite initially loving the scent upon using it I felt that it was a bit of a synthetic smell and not what I had hoped it would be. A little goes a long way, and I think this moisturiser will last for longer than my usual product. Again, I would give 5 stars for each aspect and would recommend the product.

I've not used Liz Earle before, I normally use simple face wash and a muslin cloth to cleanse with a hydrating serum after.

First impressions were the bottle looks nice, the bag is useful and 2 cloths were useful. I would agreed the smell of the cleanse and polish is a bit medicinal but I quite liked. The instructions were clear, although it states 1-2 pumps and 1 was ample for me.
I would with a PP in that the biggest difference was that my skin felt soft after cleansing, rather than 'squeaky' clean.
The moisturiser smelt nice, and felt light it dries to a Matt ish finish despite looking quite rich.

However, despite first impressions I wouldnt buy again as I've got quite oily skin and after about 10dags of use I've got quite a few more spots on my forehead and around my chin. It might be coincidence but nothing else has changed. The moisturiser does state for mature or dry skin, which mine is not, so it may be just that it doesn't suit oily skin. Im going to try just the cleanse and polish with my normal moisturiser for a bit and see what difference that makes.

Non tester. My biggest issue is spots. I have greasy skin and luckily don't have to worry about wrinkles but I am still pinching my teen DS's spot cream for breakouts.

Tester here - thank you so much for the opportunity to try this!

First impressions. Loved the packaging and the bag, which was handy when I went away this weekend. Two cloths was a bonus as I can wash one and use one.

I wasn't keen on the fragrance of the moisturiser at first. It seemed a bit medicinal, however it's growing on me. I found I only needed one pump of the cleanser and it was excellent at removing grime. I've also used it as a second cleanser after my usual product (Boots No. 7). My skin feels instantly clean and soft.

The moisturiser goes a long way and I've used it at night, with my normal SPF moisturiser for daytime. Skin feels lovely when I wake up.

So far it's a hit Smile

My biggest skin issue is pigmentation. I have quite severe psoriasis which affects my face (and looks awful!) and even once it has cleared it leaves behind red patches where it was. So I have awful patchy skin and can't ever go without foundation.

My biggest issue is sensitivity with redness around the eyes. It makes me look weepy and I'do love to find something to soothe the sore feeling AND look nice (I use medicinal creams, but while they are effective in terms of how the skin feels, the shiny white greasy look is far from pleasing!)

Thank you very much for including me on this test, I was really excited to try this and to be selected.

Your first impressions

Are you a Liz Earle beauty fan already?
No, I'm familiar with the name but haven't personally used the products before.

What’s your regular skincare routine?
AM: Gentle cleanser, serum, Clarins Hydra-Essentiel cream, sunscreen, make up.
PM: Eye make up remover, Boots No 7 hot cloth cleanser, Lancome Rénergie Nuit.

I've recently developed rosacea so have taken some products out of my routine and over the last few months have just been sticking with the above. I'm in my early forties and my skin type is combination.

On the products sent - what are your initial thoughts on the packaging, textures, instructions, smell etc?

I was split in two with the two products.

I loved the packaging of the Cleanse & Polish - the little bag is actually decent rather than very flimsy and cheap and the two cloths were useful. They are better than the normal cloths you get with cheaper products and are finished and edged nicely and are a good size. Far superior to getting a hot cloth cleansing product in a cardboard box and very handy for when you go away. Instructions were clear and the texture and smell were good. It feels like a premium product.

The Superskin™ Moisturiser with Natural Neroli I was less keen on. I didn't feel the packaging was anything special and it felt cheaper than my usual products (and to be fair it is cheaper than the Lancome I am currently using but very similarly priced to the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel). I also hated the scent, it is very strongly fragranced; perhaps overpoweringly so. I did love the texture though.

After at least a week of use please share

Cleanse & Polish™
Would you say you noticed instant results with the Cleanse & Polish™? Please describe My skin did feel soft although not as squeaky clean as my usual hot cloth cleanser. I did try using a cleanser afterwards to see if there was any missed grime and there wasn't though. I did notice it irritated my rosacea far less than my usual cleanser though and actually my red patches have calmed down quite a lot.

Would you recommend Cleanse & Polish™ to your friends? Yes and I will repurchase when it has run out. It is a much better product than others I have tried.

Superskin™ Moisturiser with Natural Neroli
Would you say you noticed instant results with the Superskin™ Moisturiser? Please describe No, although my rosacea has improved I feel that is the Cleanse & Polish as I was aware the Boots product I had been using was irritating it. I feel my forehead is a bit lumpy and on the verge of a bit of an outbreak at present which is very rare. While I like the texture it is quite thick and I wonder if it is clogging my skin a little. However I have had a few compliments that I am looking well though and somebody asked if I had changed my foundation or something which I hadn't. I do find it hard to get past the smell of this product.

A natural product that works - 3
Suitable for all skin types - 3
Simple to use -4

Would you recommend the Superskin Moisturiser to your friends? No, I prefer Lancome or Clarins moisturisers for performance and a more superior product feel. However mainly it is the smell. I choose perfume or body lotion for fragrance, not my face cream.

I have used the products now for just over a week but will add an update after a longer testing period as they get used up.

First impressions

The packaging looks good. I particularly like the moisturiser as it looks like a premium product. The cleanser looks nice and the pump is a great way of avoiding waste. The little bag is a lovely touch as is it two muslins.

I have used Liz Earle before but tend to be a bit all over the place with my skin care. I flit between Liz Earle and the Clinique 3-step with a face cloth. This was a great way of really thinking about my skin's needs and what I actually like for a product.

I like the smells of both products but particularly like the moisturiser. I do like scented products but have been prone to developing sensitivities in the past so tend to stick to unscented. This made it feel like a real treat and definitely makes me more likely to actually go through the routine at bedtime and it smells quite relaxing.

I am not sure I could claim to have noticed instant results in my skin to be honest and after a week I did notice I had a couple of pimples on my chin. However, it was extremely hot and may have been as a result of that. What I do notice immediately after using is how hydrated my skin feels which is not apparent with Clinique.

cleanse and polish
A natural product that works - 5/5 my face feels clean and heathy after using it not tight. I use full face make up most days and this removes it using the Muslin without a huge amount of scrubbing or stripping my skin of oil.

Suitable for all skin types - 5/5 I am very impressed by how gentle it is despite being scented. I have sensitive skin particularly round my eyes but the cleanser is efficient while also being very gentle. My skin is combination and I find again that it gives great results across my whole face.

Simple to use - 5/5 not much to say here really. Nothing complex or involved. Just washing your face!

I would certainly recommend this product to friends

superskin moisturiser
I was a bit concerned at how thick this was as it seemed to have more of a night cream consistency. I was worried my skin would clog up or my make-up would slide off. After a week's use I am confident that my make-up goes on well over the top. When used my skin initially looks a bit greasy as it is very thick but it sinks in very well and leaves my skin plump and soft.

A natural product that works - 5/5 I am impressed. I love the smell and find it very effective on my late thirties, combination skin.

Suitable for all skin types - 4/5 again I am delighted that my skin tolerates a scented product. It was such a treat. However, I suspect that this moisturiser would be too thick for anyone with remotely oily spots.
Simple to use - 5/5 extremely simple.

I would definitely recommend this product.

Overall, I have been very impressed with both products and have been convinced to make the permenant move from Clinique. My skin looks and feels better immediately after cleansing and I can also have the smart packaging and lovely smell.

Non tester (very jealous of the testers!)

My problem, apart from age, is dry and sensitive skin. I struggle with this as my skin can flare up and I can't always use medicated cream as too much is not good. So, I moisturise a lot and try my best to keep it on track.

Very interested to read test others have found Liz Earle stuff helps. Might have to invest....unless you need another tester. I did apply!

tinytoucan · 30/05/2017 23:41

I'm a non-tester. My biggest issue is that the skin on my face reacts to changes in temperature- in the summer if the temperature rises by a few degrees my face is covered in a horrible rash which lasts for several days. It's very difficult to find a moisturiser that doesn't leave my skin feeling uncomfortable so I often end up not moisturising when I get a flare up, which leaves my skin dry.

Report
Zooeymama123 · 30/05/2017 23:46

Biggest facial skincare issue for me is the amount of horrible hormonal spots I get. They also take ages to heal and fade so my skin never looks clear.

Report
countingdown · 31/05/2017 09:09

I posted my feedback yesterday, but have just remembered something else! The moisturiser doesn't have any sun protection in it, I wouldn't choose this over summer months. I'm very fair skinned and need my moisturiser to have spf as adding sunblock on top makes my skin too greasy. Yesterday wasn't a sunny day but my forehead is burnt today!

First Impressions: I've used Liz Earle products before and really like them. I like the colours and simple design. The packaging is nice though the moisturiser pot felt a bit cheap (very plastic) and since it's a lovely product and not cheap that was a shame.

The products smell fantastic. Both are gorgeous - the moisturiser is heavenly.

Cleanse & Polish™
Would you say you noticed instant results with the Cleanse & Polish™?

My skin felt clean and soft after using though I'm not sure I'd say 'instant results.' It's slightly heavy and I have a few spot prone areas which I feel might be slightly aggravated by this.

It's fresh and lovely to use though and really a lovely product.
