INNOVO™ are looking to recruit 10 Mumsnetters who experience stress incontinence to test and keep their new pelvic floor stimulator.

Stress incontinence is the term used when leaks accidently occur from coughing, sneezing, laughing, jumping or doing heavy lifting. These simple movements put pressure on the bladder and, should your pelvic floor muscles be unable to tighten enough, will cause a leak. Stress incontinence can also be called bladder weakness or urinary incontinence. Importantly, we are looking for testers who are suffering from a stress incontinence following pregnancy and child birth.

Here’s what INNOVO™ have to say about their product:

‘Innovotherapy is a non-invasive way to restore your pelvic floor, treating the primary cause of urinary leaks rather than just masking the symptoms. Using a hand held controller that is attached to a two part garment, Innovotherapy sends targeted impulses via conductive pads (attached to your upper thigh and buttocks) to safely and effectively activate the muscles of the pelvic floor. It is a proven technology which has been designed to optimally strengthen your pelvic floor with 180 perfect contractions per session, allowing the device to do your pelvic floor exercises for you.
Results from a research study prove that women who experience stress incontinence will experience significant improvements in as little as four weeks by using INNOVO™ five days a week for 30 minutes. After 12 weeks of treatment the participants were defined as being ‘dry’ or ‘almost dry’.* So it won’t take long to get your confidence back’

You can see more information about the product here: //www.restorethefloor.com

The product is worth £249 and selected testers will be able to keep the product afterwards.

If selected, you’d need to be able to use the product for 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week, over a 12 week period, and we’d also require you to post feedback on a thread on Mumsnet, so please only apply if you are comfortable with this.

All testers who complete the feedback process will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 Love2Shop Voucher.

If you’re interested and would like to take part, please sign up here: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5CCTK6Y

We will be in touch with selected testers soon.

Thanks
MNHQ

I didn't even know these were a thing, I'd love to try!

This is first cold I've had since giving birth to my giant 10lb DS.... Sneezing and coughing isn't going well. I'm dreading hay fever season. Grin

MNHQ! This won't let me complete the form as it asks for a comment on Q.13 when there's no box or reason to add a comment. Also on Q. 8 I'm all 4 of them but it would only let me pick one reason.

MummyBtothree · 08/03/2016 16:57

Its only letting me select one answer for question 8 but it affects me with all of those options. Did everyone else just choose one option? Wasn't sure if it was a fault with the form.

DoorbellsSleighbellsSchnitzel · 08/03/2016 16:58

Question 8 requires an 'all of the above' option please!

It's now allowed me to complete form but still would like to put all down for Q.8

woolypigs · 08/03/2016 17:12

I too would have liked all of the above button for Q.8

This is something that is life changing.

Report
InteriorLulu · 08/03/2016 17:12

Yes - agreed. Q8 needs an all of the above option!

Rebecca, I submitted an application but it went back to the survey screen upon submitting rather than a confirmation screen. Please can you let me know if my application is in?

I sent Rebecca @ MN a pm asking if question 8 could be altered but unfortunately it can't Sad

As humiliating as it is I really hope I get chosen for this product test. If it works it really would make a huge difference to my life right now Sad

I would love the opportunity to test this product and provide feedback as this problem happens to so many women so it would be good to be able to provide honest feedback on whether this works. I am an older Mum and since having my second child a couple of years ago I do suffer this problem so fingers crossed.

Mine didn't go to the confirmation screen either.

I need this :-). I'm becoming an old woman before my time

Report
EdYouKateShaun · 08/03/2016 18:59

No confirmation screen for me either. I can't say how delighted I'd be to be chosen. This affects my everyday life but I am so embarrassed about it so don't tell anyone. 😢😢

Have added an all of above at Q8 now

At the end you should be directed to the general insight page

Thanks for the interest! Smile

Oh my goodness! I would love to try this. After a very traumatic forceps delivery with DD I have struggled to regain any hope of a pelvic floor again. The worst thing was pregnancy-long sickness with DS and I was peeing as I was vomiting. Awful. Fingers crossed! And legs maybe....

Sarahb8990 · 08/03/2016 19:52

AnnMumsnet does that mean the ones that have already completed it have been changed to 'all of the above' aswel if they have requested it?

peaz1 · 08/03/2016 19:54

I have signed up- I am constantly leaking and its so awful. I have to get up several times at night because I need a wee - I fear that I will have to put up with this forever. It would be incredible if I win... I might just wet myself (and hopefully for the last time ever, too!)

I am desperate, i am spending more on tena lady each month than tampax and pads. I can't walk to fast, no way could i take up jogging i would need to return home after 10m to change my pad.
I can't play anything active with either of my kids.

I hope to be picked too. Although I don't have a serious problem at the moment I'm totally pelvic floor obsessed. I use cones but I'm looking for a product with no insertion and less fussing about.

I've hopefully signed up for a chance to try this out. It took me to the mumsnet front page at the end of the questions so fingers crossed it worked!
