I have tried and failed to get the activation email to work ... TestFlight was unavailable. The passcode has now expired and apparently I need another invitation to TestFlight so have not managed to use it at all yet .... Grrrr

Has anyone actually been able to add their baby? I complete his name/sex/DOB info but the Next button is not activated.

Can't get the redeem code to work, apparently it's expired or TestFlight isn't working.

It's telling my my invite code has expired when I try to redeem it.

I've managed to get it to work but it didn't ask me for a code. The redeem button only appeared on my iPad when j added test flight on there to try and get the video to work.

Ooh. Shit. I've not been asked for a code either - I hope I've not arsed it up and joined as a normal punter rather than a tester? Is there any way to check?

What a smart and welcoming app. It really is great for new parents as it covers the absolute basics (e.g. How to change a nappy) and it also acts as a diary of your baby's activity from feeding to sleeping.

My baby is 6 months old now and I would have found the nappy tracker absolutely invaluable in the first 4 months especially. As new parents know, it's easy to get obsessed and worried about the amount of nappies your baby has produced. In the madness of it all it's easy to forget how many wet nappies your baby has had too. This feature is reassuring and I will definitely use it in the future when my baby gets illl - it's definitely something I'd show my GP as a record of nappy activity especially if I'm worried my baby is dehydrated.

I can't get over the way it adds the ml up for the bottles. Fabulous and also something that can be shown to the Health Visitor or GP. Now my baby is weaning I find it hard to work out whether she's having the recommended 600ml minimum and this is going to help so much. Thank you.

I didn't find the sleep timer that useful. But I thought it was good that the timer kept on going despite minimising the app on my iPhone 5c.

Generally I would rate this app highly. It really is a one stop shop for all your baby needs with cute stories and tidbits from Mumsnetters included - it's always nice to know there are others going through it with you!

Highly recommended.

*please note that I didn't enter the code to set it up - it said it wasn't recognised. I haven't got any credit card details on my iTunes account so that's why I proceeded. Because I knew I wouldn't be charged.

What aspects of the Mumsnet Baby Bundle app did you find most useful?

Nice guide for remembering how old my baby is to the day for doc's appointments. Liked the medical bits for minor childhood ailments.

Would you recommend it to other parents? Why?

I'd recommend it to first time parents. As a second time mum I'm less fussy about recording every second of sleep or bite of boob, but I'd have appreciated this first time around. The baby monitor is a good bonus too.

What else would you like to see in the app?

The app is great, can't think of anything to add.

How easy or difficult was it to use?

Easy except I struggled to add a second child. Worked it out in the end.

Any other comments?

Can you tick off events (vaccinations) as you have them? Or mark stiff as "done". I'd like to see more developmental info (like the Wonder Weeks.

Thanks for the trial.

Mumsnet due to the fact that I didn't input the code on setting up the app, will I have to reload baby bundle up so you know I've been on it? Is my review still acceptable? Thanks

On first glances though the app looks good...will update more when I've used it more

I'm going to go against the grain and say I was a bit disappointed with the app. I was hoping it would be a bit more centred around developmental milestones and what to expect at each age for both you and baby, and photos at each stage etc, but instead there were big features included that I just wouldn't use, e.g. the baby monitor and family photo sharing sections.

I did really like the health section which I used to look up info on teething. Also liked the 'see your GP if' and 'go to hospital if' advice, that was useful. I bought the mumsnet baby book and found that a lot of the parenting advice in the app was very similar, so not new to me, and not really worth paying for again.

It was pretty easy to use despite the initial issues with adding a baby. I'd probably recommend it to friends who enjoy documenting everything (nappies, feeds etc) but I wouldn't pay for it myself.

While I can see the appeal for some new parents, I just don't think I'll use it unfortunately, despite being free as a tester.

Thanks for your patience over the last few days while we have been attempting to resolve the issues that some of you have experienced with TestFlight. We have now received responses to some reoccurring problems from the Baby Bundle team:

General Advice

  1. Check that you are using a 24hr time format on their device

  2. Check that you are signed into their iTunes account on their device

  3. We will then re-send TestFlight invitations to all testers at around 10am today (Tuesday 16th February).

  4. If you did download the app but experienced issues once inside, you should delete the app on your device before redownloading from TestFlight.

    Specific Advice

  • My invite code has expired –This can happen when your device is on a 12hr time format make sure you are on 24hr format by going to Settings > General > Date & Time on your device.

  • I can't unlock pro features-make sure that you are signed into your iTunes account with your Apple ID on your device by going to Settings > iTunes & App Store > then clicking on Apple ID. If this still doesn't work, you should delete the app then reinstall from TestFlight.

-I can’t complete my baby’s profile - A WiFi or 3G connection is required to create a baby's profile, but if this isn't the case then it may be down to TestFlight's environment and we will need to ask you to first restart the app by double-tapping the Home button on your device and swiping-up, and if that fails, redownloading the app from TestFlight.

-I’ve been charged £1.49 - We can guarantee 100% that no money is taken from testers. The cost notification explains that beta testers are not charged.

We hope that this advice will solve any problems that you are experiencing, but please get in touch if you are still having problems after following this advice.

I can't get the baby monitor bit to work. When I try to do family sharing, the link in the email sent yo my husband is invalid. Shame as it would gave been really helpful to have an impromptu baby monitor on the go. Will fiddle with the rest of it over the next week and see.

What aspects of the Mumsnet Baby Bundle app did you find most useful?

I really liked the activity part of the app I.e when I've last changed her nappy or fed her, as a first time mum it's been a whirlwind having a new baby and trying to remember everything so this was probably the most useful part.
I also found helpful the parenting guide and health references, I think sometime you can worry your not doing something right or think you child is ill and worry to much so the health reference was great.

Would you recommend it to other parents? Why?

I would definitely recommend this app to parents especially first time parents it has everything you need.

What else would you like to see in the app?

There was nothing that I can see that would add any benefit to this app

How easy or difficult was it to use?

I found the app easy to set up and it's very simple to use

Any other comments?

What aspects of the Mumsnet Baby Bundle app did you find most useful?

I liked the parenting guide and the fact that it offers unbiased opinions on different options, with weaning for example it's good to hear positive recommendations and advice on both baby led weaning and spoon led weaning - quite often with books etc there is a real emphasis on a particular way of doing things.

The health reference part is good too, it's handy to have those sort of things all in one place. Bad things can happen if people consult Dr Google too much!!

Would you recommend it to other parents?

Certain people yes.

Why?

I do think it's a case of know your audience with things like this though, certain friends of mine would love it and others would hate it. I would recommend it to friends who I know would use it to form their own opinion on things and take the advice as just that - advice!

What else would you like to see in the app?

I don't see the need for the baby monitor part it seems a gimmick that would be more hassle than it's worth having to leave phone next to baby. At the moment I cannot think of anything extra I think it should have

How easy or difficult was it to use?

Easy - I found it fairly self explanatory

Any other comments

Quote a specific one but the list of check ups that a child should have shows a doctors one age 2-2.5 where they check throat, ears eyes etc, my son is nearly 3 and the only thing he had at the docs recently was flu vaccination, he had the standard health visitor development check but wasn't anything like described in the app with regards to checking of actual health etc

I also didn't get the TestFlight email but I did a review already. I don't think I linked myself to the test app though as it didn't recognise my code first time around. I won't faff with this again even if £300 is at stake!!!
