This thread is for the Mumsnetters who have been trying Little Dish Go Gos with their child aged 1-3.

Here's what they say, "Little Dish Go Gos are yummy mini oat biscuits that have been created in partnership with leading nutritionist Lucy Jones. Suitable from age one upwards, Go Gos are full of naturally good things like wholegrain oats, flax and chia seeds and protein which all help to deliver slow release energy and nourishment to your little one. Each little bag of GoGos provides three grams of protein, and is a good source of fibre."

Below are a few questions for you to answer about trying Little Dish Go Gos with your DCs – feel free to add any other thoughts you may have though, as well as share any photos of the snacks in action: we’d love to hear/see them.

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

If you have any photos of your DCs trying Little Dish Go Gos, please add them to this thread.

We received these on Friday and my children love them. They are diary free which for my son is a god send. Really great product. He liked the vanilla ones and I liked the idea of the ginger ones and the fact they have chia seeds. I am not normally one to recommend a product but these are a really handy snack. Thank you.

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Very satisfied. Nice packaging, like the sticker reseal! DC liked them and I like the clear ingredients. I found them very dry so think they should be served with something else (eg. Fruit) but DC didn't complain about that so could be adult taste.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
I probably would, yes.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Yes, assuming the price was right, I'm happy to tell anyone that they are tasty.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
1yr old had no preference, all disappeared within seconds! 3yr old fav was raspberry, 5yr olds fav was vanilla, 7yr olds fav ginger.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Fresh fruit, dried fruit, occasional chocolate.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Cheese, ricecakes, oatcakes.

Thank you for letting me do this test, the DC have enjoyed being testers and also loved playing in the box it arrived in. And the gerbils have had great fun with the packing so really a family event! Grin

Q2. Yes I would buy them again depending on the price.

Q3. Yes would recommend them to family and friends.

Q4. He liked the raspberry and vanilla ones the most. He isn't that fond of the ginger.

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

As soon as these arrived I gave ds a packet of the vanilla ones, he scoffed them straight away, I'm not sure they touched the sides!

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

Yes, definitely, they were a big hit in our house.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

I would, they are ideal for taking out on a day trip in my handbag, and ds loves them.

The vanilla ones. Though he hasn't said no to any of them!!

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

Personally as a parent - EXTREMELY satisfied! From my 3 year old mixed reviews depending on the flavour. She loved ginger, liked raspberry but found vanilla not sweet enough.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

yes definitely - I love knowing they are a truly 'good' healthy snack and not loaded with sugar etc.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Yes - loved the flavours / variety (least fave of my daughter was vanilla but i actually liked them so would happily keep to hand for me to munch on), really loved the mini-packs they came in so there is no wastage of opening a box and having to eat all in one go.

It was brilliant getting a little dish voucher in the pack - i used it to try a different meal to the ones we usually get.

Its a very trusted brand that i know only puts good ingredients into their food so i am always happy for my children to eat it.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Ginger (she loves gingerbread biscuits so this is like a healthy alternative!)

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Raisins, rice cakes, organix gingerbread men, sadly also give in to temptation and let her have occassional mini rolls, fingers and other not so healthy sweet treats.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Mini cheddars, crisps, pom bears, crackers,

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Quite satisfied, and my son really liked them :) I liked the packaging, especially the inclusion of the resealing/t-shirt stickers! My only gripe is the listing of the second ingredient as "molasses" - it felt like the company were trying to disguise the fact that the second ingredient is sugar, which feels a bit disingenuous and patronising, to me. I did however really like the inclusion of chia and flax seeds, and that I know he's getting a hit of goodness alongside the tastiness lent by the sugar :)

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
I would definitely buy these as snacks for my son if they were a reasonable price! He loves them.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Probably. They did taste really good (I tried them too!) and seem a lot healthier than a lot of other toddler snacks out there.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
My little boy loved the vanilla flavour - he was grinning and making his "yummy noises" when he was eating them! A definite winner!

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Organic Oaty Bars and rice cakes, mainly.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Babybels, carrot puffs and veggie sticks (cucumber, carrot etc).

Q1. Very satisfied. Like the packaging and definitely the resealing sticker. Have had 2 testers in this house- just turned 1 ds who eats massive amounts and somewhat fussy dd3. Both really liked them, especially the vanilla. Ds loved the raspberry but neither went crazy over the ginger.

Q2. Would definitely buy!!

Q2 part 2. Would recommend- especially to MIL who loves giving snacks but is a bit heavy handed with sugar....

Q3. Both liked vanilla best.

Q4. Sweet snacks- yoyos/dinopaws (but limited to once weekly), raisins, fruit, Pombears, chocolate coins (hangs head in shame).

Q5. Savoury snacks- breadsticks, hummus, Babybel

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
not a success here I'm afraid. The packets are very attractive, with all the different animals, and it's a good size portion. Unfortunately they are not very flavoursome at all and none of my 3 liked them.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
No.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
No, they're just not tasty. A shame, as the concept is great.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
none a success, but Ginger the least unsuccessful I guess

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Raisins, yo yos, fruit stars, any other fruit

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children
Breadsticks, crackers, cheese, vegetable sticks (cucumber/ carrot etc), wraps

Thanks for letting us take part though. I love the concept but really think they need to be more strongly flavoured to have more appeal. I tried them after the kids left them, and they are almost tasteless.

Thanks for the chance to try these. :)

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

I am satisfied. The snacks are really quite healthy in comparison to some of the other options available. The packaging is clever, I especially love the sticker to close the packet or just for the child to enjoy. I tried the snacks myself and found them to be tasty and satisfying. Unfortunately my dd was not as impressed, but she can be fussy so im not really surprised! She did like that you could put them on her fingers though! They were a bit more of a hit when combined with yoghurt to dip in, so perhaps she found them a bit dry. The voucher for a free toddler meal is a fab idea. I will be trying them soon.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

I probably wouldn't, not because there is anything wrong with them, it's just that my dd did not seem to like them that much. I might try her with the raspberry ones again as she was slightly more keen on that flavour than the others.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Yes I would. They are tasty, well thought out and reasonably healthy.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Raspberry.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Rice cakes, malt loaf, digestive biscuits, raisins, fruit.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Bread sticks, crisps, sliced veg.

Thank you for including us on the product test.

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go gos?
I loved the idea, packaging and box size is good. Very happy with the ingredients.
My daughters had very different ideas. The 22 month old had a bite of one (the raspberry) then spat it out and continued to throw each biscuit on the floor. My 3 year old just commented "These are not very good".

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

I would if the girls liked them but as their reaction was so negative, I don't think I would.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

I might recommend them for a younger child that hadn't yet got the taste for sweeter snacks!

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
Vanilla

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Goodies cereal bars, raisins, goodies biscuits

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Goodies carrot snacks, M&s Childs pretzels, cheese crackers. Bread sticks

I think the main thing that put my children off was the smell. They smell wholesome and "good for you", I just don't think they were appealing as a sweet snack. Great idea but could be better.

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

We were very satisfied with the GoGos, both me and dd liked the taste and the packaging was eye catching and very child friendly. Dd loved the stickers on the pack and has stuck them everywhere! Friends kids tried them too and they both seemed very happy with them! I love that dd thinks she's getting a packet of biscuits but I know she's getting something healthy. She wasn't overly keen on the ginger ones though.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

Absolutely. Nice convenient, healthy snack that were very tasty. I'd buy them for myself, even if dd didn't like them!

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Definitely. Dd really enjoyed them, they come in perfect pack sizes that are resealable should they not be finished and they taste really good.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Dds favourite was the raspberry (mine was vanilla 😁)

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?

Lovely packaging. But my almost 2 year old didn't like them. I tried them.and cannot taste ginger at all he loves ginger so gave him those first. I agree with previous poster who's said they were dry. Toddler guzzled alot of water too.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

No because he doesn't like them.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

I gave some to a friend to try and her ds didn't like them either. So probably wouldn't recommend them.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour? He tolerated the raspberry to try a second one but that was it. The pieces of raspberry were the only ones I detected any flavour in.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Annabel karmel and goodies items, rice cakes, fruit, treats would be chocolate or brioche.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Bread sticks, goodies items, cheese straws.

Thanks for including me in this!

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go
Gos?

  • pretty satisfied. My 2 year old (who is meant to be testing them) isn't super keen on them, though he will eat them. However his older brothers really like them!

The shape is good as they fit on fingers and make eating them a lot more fun (see photo of my 4 year old!).

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
  • possibly, if they were indeed reasonably priced. I tend to carry a small selection of snacks in my handbag as you can guarantee at least one of them will be starving when we are out and about; and I like the resealable little packs.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
  • I might. That said, to me they are a bit of a PFB food as first time parents watch a lot more what they are giving their PFB and these claim to be healthy. So I think I might recommend them to first time parents Grin

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
  • the vanilla, hands down.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
  • the Aldi fruit bars; rice cakes; any kinds of biscuits. I don't have any favourite brands but I do like things that come in small packs / are individually wrapped to take away.

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years
  • I thought long and hard about this, but I don't think I do! Sometimes I will buy bagels for him to munch on while we are out, but would you class them as 'snack'?

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Very satisfied. My 23mo loved them, so did my 4yo and 6yo. They also loved the box they arrived in and have played in it all weekend. I like that they're healthy snacks, the kids liked that they were having "biscuits". They also liked the animal characters and collecting the animal sticker off the back of each pack.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Yes, I would. I think they're handy to keep in the cupboard and because each bag is individually wrapped they're great for chucking on the bottom of the buggy when going out.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
I would recommend them for the reasons I've already given. I also know some children with wheat and dairy intolerances so would recommend them for that reason too.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
They liked the raspberry and they ginger. None of them liked the vanilla. 4yo said they were dry, 6yo said they'd lost their tasty, and 23mo said "no like it". I tried all three myself too and the vanilla one was really bland compared to other two.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Fruit (fresh and dried). Malt loaf. Fig rolls. Scotch pancakes. Cheerios (has them dry from a little pot).

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Breadsticks, crackers, Dunkers Quavers

Thank you for choosing us to take part in this product test, the children really enjoyed trying the snacks. I'm going to try the ready meals and pizzas using the vouchers for a free pack that were in the snack boxes :)

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Overall I was quite satisfied as the packaging was appealing and the portion sizes were good. They were also quite tidy for her to eat. However, my DD didn't really seem fussed about them and I thought they were quite dry. When given a packet she would take me back to the snack cupboard to choose something else.

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
Probably not as DD preferred other snacks.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Probably not as DD didn't really take to the flavours.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
She tried all three but I couldn't really say that she had a favourite flavour. I thought that the raspberry ones were probably the best.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Fruit, raisins, yo yo bear fruit snacks

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Q1 Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the Little Dish Go Gos?
Really pleased. DS who is 2 is a biscuit fiend and really enjoyed them, wolfed down the packet, and for me I am pleased to have something that's a little healthier.
Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?
I definitely would, yes. I like that they can be resealed as well.
Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?
Yes. Most of my friends are very laid back when it comes to snacks for our children, but we'd probably all go for something like this if our children would eat it, also like the resealable packets, and the shape of the biscuits. The shape makes it easier for little fingers to hold
Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?
Ginger. He's partial to a ginger nut too.
Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old? Packs of raisins, and fruit, and chocolate mostly
Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?
Organix snacks, babybel, veg sticks

Q2 If Little Dish Go Gos were on sale at a price acceptable to you, do you think you would buy the products in future or not?

Yes. I don't think I would worry about the price. If it was a snack he enjoys I would pick it over something cheaper.

Q2 If it came up, in principle, do you think you’d recommend the Little Dish Go Gos to a friend or family member or not? Why?

Yes. We have already been discussing them with friends and sharing packets.

Q3 Which was your child’s favourite recipe/ flavour?

Ginger so far. The others are eaten but that's the one he kept saying mmmmmmmm at.

Q4 What other sweet snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years

I don't buy sweet snacks apart from fruit like bananas or melon. The odd Heinz fruit pouch

Q5 What savoury snacks do you currently buy for your child/children under 3 years old?

Carrot wafers or carrot rice cakes are his favourite. He opts for those over sweet snacks.
