We have been asked by the team at Farrow & Ball to find 10 MNers to attend an exclusive event with Farrow & Ball in London (Chelsea) on Thursday 13th November - between 11am and 1pm and to then have a host of goodies (worth up to around £200 - depending on what you need) from Farrow and Ball to help achieve their dream room!

We're looking for folks who are ready to do up a room (and/or furniture within a room) but who are in need of some help with colour schemes and the preparation.

At the event there will be an inspirational colour talk from their International Colour Consultant Joa Studholme who will be available to give advice on schemes and colours with attending MNers.

After the event you will receive the following - all specific to the room/ items you want to decorate:

Farrow and Ball primer and undercoat - if needed
Farrow and Ball inspiration booklets
Farrow and Ball paint - up to 10 litres in your choice of colour (could also have eggshell if that's suitable)
Farrow and Ball paint brushes

And asked to use them in your chosen room - no help with the actual work will be given - it's a DIY project with support! You need to be ready to go with this project before Christmas.

Please note, at the event, lunch will be provided as well as drinks and you're welcome to bring small children if necessary.

In return we will need MNers to add feedback - and photos from both the day and your efforts at home to a thread on MN and we'd also like you to send us some before, during and after photos of the transformation.

MNers who are selected to take part will be also asked to make a video diary of their experiences and end result - featuring themselves/their family using the Farrow & Ball products and tips. The event will also be filmed by MN and some MNers will be selected to have a MN Video crew visit their home post make-over for a couple of hours to do some filming/ interview you on film. The photos and edited video may appear on the Farrow & Ball website/YouTube, be hosted on the MN YouTube channel and possibly appear elsewhere.

All who take part and who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £200 of vouchers for Farrow and Ball.

If you'd like to apply please add your details here and we will be in touch

Sounds fab, and our living room could desperately do with a revamp but I really don't think we'd get this done before Christmas.

Perhaps I'll use everyone else's ideas to inspire a spring time project!

What an amazing product test opportunity! Sadly, there's no way we could hit those deadlines, but will be watching with interest and envy :)

Oh, I would love to be able to attend this - our living room is in desperate need of redecoration, but while I love F&B colours, I'm too terrified of making an (expensive) mistake and I need some advice! :)

I've asked a question about every F&B colour on MN, you've all been fab but I've still got to do my sitting room. This would be perfect.

Hello guys, that date is my sons 2nd birthday or else I'd be there! Although I am looking for some help... Has anyone used Farrow & Ball to achieve that vintage shabby chic colour scheme - green & pink or even blue and pink? We are currently doing up DD room, have found the most gorgeous toile wallpaper & fabric in Disney princess' but want a green or blue hum for the rest of the room? Any thoughts most appreciated xxx

I'd love a bit of their colours on my walls but as I'd also like a decent quality paint that actually stays on the walls I won't be using F&B ever again. Hmm

Done. We are looking to finish our kitchen before Xmas so hope we get picked!

Disney Princess toile, and F&B? Shock

Not a combination I ever thought would occur!

I have entered. We now have a moving date of 17th November so this would give us kick start with the new house. Fingers crossed!

Oh, this would be brilliant! I have a room in my gradually being done up house that is ready for paint and I have no idea where to start. I want colour, but the room already has built in cupboards in a strong cherry wood colour and I'm not sure what will go with it nicely. Will fill in application now.

IsItMeOr · 31/10/2014 13:37

Ha, we chose our F&B colour two years ago, and started prepping the walls - still waiting to find the time and energy to get it done. So, don't think we're going to be able to meet these timescales (plus, we already know what colour scheme we want).

Now, when they bring out the ASD-friendly version of this, for the family who have no time for much beyond surviving, so they actually come and do the painting, furniture moving, etc for you, and you hardly know that they're in the house, sign us up.

MsAdorabelle is F&B not very hard-wearing then? Might have to rethink our choice if we ever get around to actually putting anything on the walls

This is my idea of winning the lottery
Have just started on a room having been putting it off for ages.
We've taken off the black with large pink flowers wallpaper, ripped up the black carpet, yet to tackle the gold picture rail, all curtesy of the previous owners
Builders coming in this week to replaster the walls and put in the log burner BUT
Really stuck as to what colour to paint the walls as its a very very dark room
Am in !

No IsItMeOr, unfortunately we couldn't get on with it and from what our decorator said nobody else liked it either. In fact he said it was awful stuff and no decorator worth his salt would touch it. They do have lovely colours though, I'll give them that, but you can get them colour matched at any hardware place. It's just difficult to actually get on the walls, and then it wants to come off again.
