A charity, which will be disclosed to members of the board, have asked us to find 500 Mumsnetters who are willing to help the charity to review different social platforms. Mumsnetters’ reviews will help inform content which the charity will host on their site to advise parents on different social platforms which are currently popular with children.

For some social networks, Mumsnetters may be required to make their own account to get a true understanding of what it might be like to use the site as a user. There is no requirement, however, to keep an account after the review has been completed.

This first wave of activity will start in the next couple of weeks and finish at the end of November. There may be an opportunity to engage with further projects through the Advisory Board after November but the exact nature of these projects is yet to be confirmed.

Every piece of activity you engage with on the Advisory Board will, of course, be incentivised with a prize draw.

To be a member of the Advisory Board you must be a UK Mumsnetter and have at least one child age 8-16. We are especially interested in Dads joining, however we will only allow for one Advisory Board member per household. It doesn't matter whether you have never looked at a social network site or whether you (or your DC) use them all the time; we do want feedback from a range of MNers. All members need to be living in the UK and have broadband or internet access at home.

Members of the Advisory Board will be required to review at least one social platform and complete a questionnaire. There will also potentially be an opportunity to participate in more activity further down the line.
Everyone who becomes a member of the Advisory Board and completes the review(s) will be entered into a prize draw to win:

• A Harvey Nichols You Beauty Hamper (worth ~£150)
• A Nando's hamper and voucher (worth ~£100)
• An Oxo and Oxo Tot hamper (worth ~£100)

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I signed up for this when it had a different thread title, do I need to sign up again? Also, when you click the link to sign up, it tells you what the charity is called on question 21.

CheeseandGherkins, no need to sign up again, sorry for the confusion! We realise that the charity is named in question 21 but it is unavoidable. Thanks for raising though!

Hi, what happens to our name and address details if we enter them but are not chosen for the advisory board? Does the charity keep them and/or sell them? The T&Cs refer only to people accepted onto the advisory board.
Thanks.

StickyProblem, we won't be passing on the details of those who aren't selected to the charity.
