DS 14 months, size 4+.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Nice and thin, soft material, good grippy tabs that don't come undone easily.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Fine in the day as he is changed regularly. However they do have a smell that none of the others we've used have.

Night time, they leak at the front well before 12 hours. I have stopped using them at night during the trial as it's waking him up with his pjs being soaked.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them in the day, or as a emergency back up but not regularly due to the leaking at night.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Fit, yes. Dryness, no.

Thank you for selecting us to test your nappies

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They seem to be soft and flexible, and good quality, unlike some brands the tape for securing the nappy doesn't pull off.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They performed reasonably well, although we have had two poo-splosions that have ended up leaking all up DS's left side. But no leaks other than those two

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
If they were on special offer definitely, they're not as cumbersome and bulky as other brands, which is a plus with a baby who is just getting to grips with moving around, but they are definitely on the more expensive end of the scale

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I'd definitely recommend them, the odd explosive poo is to be expected and I think only a full body nappy would prevent those from leaking

DD is 2 in size 5+ nappies

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

overall impressions were good, liked the design felt soft not hard or bulky like some other brands ive tried and very thin. The sticky tabs are good as they stretched over DDs tummy with ease and stuck well on the nappy.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

was very surprised that it performed well during the day, was out yesterday for a long time and stuck on a bus so unable to change DD, got home thinking it would have soaked through her leggings, but it was dry. Nappies were great at night time when DD woke up her pj bottoms were still dry.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely like to use them again as DD looked comfortable running around in them and they keep dry for long, I am tempted to change brands and use them but the price of them is what puts me off tbh as they are the most expensive brand out there.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I would recommend Active Fit to other parents, but I would still tell them about the brand of nappies I use as an alternative as they work good and are much cheaper.

I have been trying the nappies with my daughter who is 23 months old and wears size 4+

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I like the fact that they're not at all bulky. They fit my skinny minnie very well, even at the leg, where I have found that she is prone to leaks in other nappies. She loves the designs, especially the elephants.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

They have performed very well, no leaks and no poo explosions. During the day, they dont seem to impede her running and climbing in any way. My daughter sleeps for 12-14 hours at night and the nappies have kept everything contained safely! If she's slept for 14 hours, her skin feels damp and clammy when I go to change her in the morning, but on nights where she's slept 12 hours, she still feels fresh and dry in the morning.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would definitely use them again. However, I will try to only buy them when they are on promotion, as they are quite expensive otherwise.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, I would, particularly if they have a slender/petite child like I do.

Ds age 18 months in size 4+

Overall impression:
Nappy is nice and thin, doesn't add lots of bulk, so easier under some clothes and doesn't restrict ds's movement. Heavily patterned with attractive animal motifs, good for ds as he's fond of showing off is animal noises - though I can imagine these might show through any white outfits.
Velcro tabs had stretchy sides, so easy to get a snug fit, even on a wriggling toddler intent on escape.

Performance:
As others have said, fine through the day were he is changed fairly regularly - at no point would I have said that a nappy was "full" after a few hours.
I was (rightly) dubious about their night time dryness, but hardly surprising given ds occasionally soaks through the size 5 pampers babydry he normally has for nights. It would be interesting to see if a size 5 active fit coped better.

Would you use them again:
Yes, for days, the lack of bulk is good, and I like the stretchy nature. Although at the more expensive end of the spectrum in supermarkets, there are decent deals to be had via Amazon subscribe & save monthly shipments - I think I could get them down to about 14p per nappy (compared with 11p per nappy for supermarket saver/basics nappies)
Probably not for nights unless going up a size.

Would you recommend for dryness and fit:
Definitely for daytime use, possibly not for nights.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

It's very thin, and soft, so seems to be very comfortable

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Performed really well, kept my DD dry even if we were out for long times, without bulking up and becoming heavy

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would switch permanently if they were not so expensive

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I would definitely recommend for dryness and fit, but sadly not for the price.

Tested on dd aged twenty months, size 4+

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Very thin

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Fine, no leaks

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, my daughter appeared to react badly to these, she was red and sore after two days so I stopped using them and went back to our usual nappies.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
No, as no difference in dryness and fit to cheaper supermarket brand nappies.

14 month baby size 4+

Impression was good - like others have said thin, well fitting and fitted well under clothes.

Performance was good on the whole. We have had some awful teething nappies lately so did have a leak, but that's par for the course I think given the circumstances. Performed fine overnight.

I'd use them again. My daughter has had chafing with some nappy brands but not here.

I would probably recommend them, but always seek out a deal as there is often a major retailer with an offer on.

I tried them on my 19 month old DD, size 5.

  • Overall impression?

Good quality nappy, strong stretchy tabs, soft to the touch, a good secure fit and not as bulky as some nappies. In terms of price they are on the upper end of the scale and I rarely see a good enough offer to warrant buying them.

  • Performance

During the day these nappies performed well, as anyone with a 19 month old will know it's pretty non stop. Despite all the climbing and running around we didn't have any leakages.

At night, again I can't fault the performance but sadly for me the smell was really strong and unpleasant. I've had others tell me of the smell before but I had to try it to believe it. It's a really disgusting smell and even left an odour on her vest and pjs.

  • Would I use them again

I would use these nappies only if they were on offer for during the day, as long as I could change them regularly. I would never use them again for nighttime or for any length of time, purely because of this smell. Which I have to say I have never noticed on any other nappy brand and we've tried most of them.

  • Would I recommend them for dryness and fit

I have to say I was very impressed by the dryness and fit so yes I would recommend them for those reasons specifically but I would however have to mention the smell after long periods.

Child 18 months and size 5 (Although the size was in his weight range I felt that 5+ would have been better, but they took so long to be distributed)

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Lovely and slim fitting, no bulkiness. The smell however opening the pack was awful, very much like bitter almonds! It was not only me that noticed this as I took a few to our local playgroup to show the other parents and they all commented on the stench. A few of the tabs ripped off when DP was changing them, this may have been because he was unused to the shorter tabs than our normal brand

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

They performed very well during the day with no leaks. However, on 3 out of 4 nights use, they leaked at the waistband, so I did not continue using them in the evenings after this.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them for daytime use, especially if we had an extra active day, i.e soft play as I felt that they allowed more flexibility for jumping and climbing

I would not use them for overnight as I did not like that they seemed to leak. They are also far more expensive than my normal brand and to be honest I am not sure they are worth the extra cost.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, but only for daytimes and not evenings

DS 11 months size 4+

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I like that they are not as bulky as other nappies, and that they are stretchy, which is useful now my LO is moving around.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Both fine, no leaks here. However, I did find that they looked full and bulky sooner than my normal nappies. LO stayed dry and comfortable though.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if they were on offer. Although, perhaps not over my current nappies as they are more expensive and need changing more often.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

I'm not sure if I would recommend them but I would describe their pros and cons.

My 13 month old is using size 4.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Nice and thin, but they STINK! We use mostly reusable nappies, but often have occassion to use disposables and I have never had one smell like this.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Day they seemed fine, but last night we used one for the first time and she woke at 5 am soaked through. Grr... this is the first time this has happened since she was much younger and we were a bit useless with nappies. Also she has the worst nappy rash she has ever had.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, they leak, so there is no point.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

No. They leak.

DS is nearly 9 months in size 4 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Good, as far as I can tell, DS was comfy in them, there have been no leaks and they are much slimmer than the Aldi nappies I normally use. The only downsides for me are the price and the very strong smell!!

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Really well, no leaks and felt dry to touch after a full night.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them again but only if they were priced more closely to Aldi. I prefer them marginally, but the price difference is huge!

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, they have kept DS dry and comfy.

I tried these on my 18 month old and we used size 5 nappies. These were very small on him compared to the other nappies I usually use and probably a 5+ would have been a better fit.

My overall impression was that they were very thin and slim line. There didn't seem to be much to them and I did wonder how absorbent they would be when I saw them.

My son is very active and I found that the nappies needed to be changed more frequently than my normal ones. Once wet they would bulk right out and hang between his legs impeding his activity. On average I was changing every two to three hours which is really very frequent for us usually he goes around 4 hours in the day at least. For this reason they were not useful for the night time. I did try them once, but he soaked through them and leaked onto his bed.

I probably won't use them again. They are pricey and I didn't find them to be very efficient. With regard to the fit, I would be interested to know if the 5+ fitted better as the seams seemed more elasticated than others and maybe if they had been a better fit might be more comfortable for my son. However, given that I had to use more of them, the potential benefits are far outweighed by cost. Other nappies might not be as streamlined but they do the job, my son is comfortable and they don't cost anywhere near as much.

I don't think I would recommend them I'm sorry.

My baby boy is 6.5 months old. I have used Pampers New Baby but due to the price, usually use Aldi nappies in the daytime and Pampers Baby Dry at night. DS is a tall, slim boy so is still in size 3.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They felt lighter and more flexible than the Aldi nappies, and thinner than the Baby Dry. We have just gone throug a spell of leaking dirty nappies so I was very pleased to receive the parcel and am pleased to report we have had no more leaking nappies since using the Active Fit ones.

I like the thinness of them and the flexibility, great for my baby who is moving around a fair amount now.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

I have not used at night as I use Baby Dry, which are great. The Active Fit have been brilliant in the daytime, not requiring changing too often, not leaking and generally seem comfortable.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely use them again but would try to purchase during a promotion, as they are so much more expensive than the ones I usually use.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I definitely would. The nappies performed well in both areas.

general comments

A great, flexible and light nappy, reliable for no leakages for a tall slim baby. Expensive, as Pampers nappies tend to be, but I think you do get what you pay for!

Daughter aged 16 month size 5.

Liked the design and easy to put on and take off. Nice wide waistband.

Didn't use at nighttime as not overly impressed with the dryness during the day.

Would use during they day but will stick with the baby dry for daytime use.

Would prob recommend for the fit but not for use over night.

DS is 11 months and size 4+

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

The nappies are thin and light but they have quite a strong smell. They have cute designs.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Through the day they were fine, although we changed them very regularly. No pee or poop leaks at all. DS was crawling, rolling and climbing all over the place and they performed well.

At night they did leak at the front a couple of times but I think this is to be expected. His bum was a bit sore after a couple of nights which has never happened before.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not at night, because his bum became sore. He's never had nappy rash before so I was surprised. Also, the chemical smell puts me off. I would use them during the day if I had run out of other nappies, but I wouldn't specifically buy these nappies.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

No I would not.

I only got these on Friday but have used them over the weekend for my DTs aged 2 in size 5. Unfortunately for the purposes of this test anyway they both decided that they were ready to use the potty during the day between the time I entered and the time they actually arrived so they have only been tested at night.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Nice design, felt nice and soft. Mine smelt a little bit plasticky but I'm not sure whether that was the packaging or the actual nappies.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
At night they have been brilliant, I have one very wriggly twin and a lot of other brands leak but these didn't.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes because they didn't leak at night but I would have to shop around to get the best price.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Probably, they would be included in a list of brands that don't leak for us personally.
