BEAR are looking for 300 Mumsnetters and their DCs to test out Alphabites cereal.

Here’s what BEAR say: “Grrreetings, we’re BEAR and we like things as nature intended. We started out 5 years ago making pure fruit ‘yoyos’ for kids, with no added sugar, concentrates or any other nonsense. The more time we spent talking to parents over the years, the more we realised that breakfast was also a real challenge for families- the sugary, salty cereals on offer made us growl, so we set off foraging to find a much better alternative.

We’re on a BEAR hunt for tasters to try our new BEAR ‘Alphabites’ cereal. Made from just 6 ingredients- five multigrains and our super new ingredient coconut blossom nectar- our crunchy cereal letters contain no refined sugar, salt or any other nonsense. From the flowers of the coconut tree, coconut blossom nectar is a naturally sweet sap that makes our cereal letters delicious and crunchy, and also provides over half of your daily calcium needs (one bowl of Alphabites with 125ml of semi skimmed milk provides over half of an adult’s daily calcium needs, with half of this coming from the nectar alone). It also has a much lower GI than sugar (35 vs 70 for refined sugar), preventing the usual crazy sugar highs and grizzly crashes that come from too much refined sugar. ”

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child.

All those selected will receive a special BEAR Bundle Box including Alphabites cereal (Multigrain + Cocoa Multigrain) and other BEAR goodies for your Kids.

Testers will be required to test out BEAR Alphabites at breakfast time from the 6th to the 21st of September, and leave feedback on a feedback thread on Mumsnet, so please only sign up if you’re available during this time.

All Mumsnetters who post their feedback on the thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 John Lewis voucher.

If you’re interested, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck.

Review coming soon (sorry - work got in the way|). Only been 5 days since the monster box arrived but the Filly-household may never be the same.

Even the monster box was squabbled over- has found a good home smile

Hi MN. I got my box yesterday. The kids loved the monster box! Haven't received an email with a link to the feedback thread yet though...

I got the email yesterday and the postie delivered a massive green box today with two cereal boxes and some nice magnets for the kids.

I had a try of the cocoa ones when giving the kids an after school snack just now & they taste nice - not too sickly sweet and works ok even without milk. My DS liked them and my DD finished them (without milk) quite quickly.

What I like about them is that even my DD can try them without fear of her having a reaction to any milk powder included in the ingredients. With so much added junk in most prepared foods - it's refreshing to see that less is considered better with these.

Really hoping for this. I start college next week and I am really struggling to get the kids to eat anything but wee willy winkys and eggs for breakfast. sad They love cereal but I wont give them the usual types as it is far too full of sugar. They have both loved the other Bear fruit things they have had in the past so I am hopefull!
