Mumsnetters needed to test Lindam safety gates - £250 John Lewis voucher to be won for feedback NOW CLOSED

Lindam are looking for 50 Mumsnetters to test out their Extending White Metal Safety Gate and/or their Easy Fit Deluxe gate.

I woild love to be involved in this feast - we currently have a Lindam safety gate on the stairs. Sadly I don't possess any toddlers - the gate is to stop a greedy Labrador from going upstairs and eating the cat's dinner!

I suspect I don't qualify!

Just about to buy some! I have the hexagonal Lindam baby pen. We have a really awkward space at the bottom of the stairs but the top of the stairs is straight forward. Only a fees hours ago my 11month old vacant very excited at making it up 3 of the steps before I grabbed her....

Would love to join this test. I have a freakishly extremely strong 15 month old who has just recently pulled our old pressure fix gate off the wall and I would love to try a newer model to see if it could cope with his attempts to wrench it open.

I had a basic Lindam one (bought when I had a house rabbit!) and ds figured it out when he was 17 months! So would love to see how these compare

I get that it's not an actual safety test but I'm still a bit about testing safety gates! I'd rather have a pre-tested one ta!

I have a 19 month old toddler ... who has figured out how to open the Lindam safety gates. We have the Easy Fit Deluxe I've no idea how she managed to work it out as it's pretty stiff and requires a bit of dexterity. The one at the top of the stairs she just opens and the one at the bottom she can vault over (if coming down). We did have three but I gave one to a friend as they've become a bit pointless. I only keep the two stair ones for visiting children.

I've not entered the product test as would rather a Mumsnetter who needs them receives them but would like to share feedback if Lindam are interested. She's been opening the gates since she was 15 months old. Thankfully she is pretty good and safe with stairs. Interestingly she can't open other Lindam gate models (they have them at nursery).

Ps I have a very active 10month who is big and has started pulling himself up on the baby gates! At a relatives house he managed to pull the thing off! Also have a 3yr old too who needs to ve kept off thr stairs

I have applied but my DD figured out how to open my current Lindam gate by the time she was 15 months old (including the wedge bit at the bottom). Would be interested to see if houdini can break out of these ones!

I am amazed that some people's 15 month olds (And someone's 10 month old) have worked out how to open a stair gate or pull it off the wall?! I can't even pull ours off the wall and it's a pressure fit lol Am I really weak or are these kids getting freakishly strong and clever?! :/ Or are they are becoming wise to our ways of restraining them??? Dun Dun Duuuuuun!
