F&F has asked us to find 100 MNers to test out their F&F schoolwear range with their DC and provide feedback.

Here's what F&F say about their range, "At F&F we're really proud of the value and quality of our products and have spent the last year really improving our schoolwear range. Our schoolwear offering, which is available online all year round, is designed to last. With features including Teflon® fabric protector across skirts, trousers and pinafores, we believe that we've made it easier to get those stains out. Also, we've included adjustable waistbands to ensure a more comfortable fit for your children that will also help the items last that little bit longer as they grow. Finally, we've helped reduce the ironing with our permanent pleats in skirts. We'd love to see what Mumsnetters think about our F&F schoolwear range and we want to know if you agree with the outstanding quality too!"

We're looking for UK Mumsnetters, who have at least one child of school age who wears school uniform, to put the range to the test before the new term starts. If you are selected, you will be sent £100 worth of Tesco online vouchers*. We'd like you to use some of this to buy items from the F&F back to school range and the rest is a gift for you from F&F to treat yourself to some new items for the school run!

Delivery charges aren't included in the e-coupons, however there is the option to 'Click and Collect' which delivers your order to your nearby Tesco, free of charge, by the next day if you place your order by 3pm. We are aware that the summer holidays are fast approaching so we're looking for Mumsnetters who are available to carry out this product test as soon as possible.

Once you have had a chance to purchase a few items and kit your DCs out in a new uniform we'll ask you to get your LOs to put it through its paces and for you to give it a couple of washes before adding your feedback to a thread on MN.

If you're interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

Michelle @ MNHQ

NB: You will receive x4 £25 vouchers, for each voucher you will need to spend the full value, or more.

I am so signed in, dd1 gets through a lot of knees and dd1 is a beanpole so we are on a constant search for clothes that fit.

HeySoulSister · 05/07/2013 16:37

Me too.... Asda quality was rubbish this year.

SacreBlue · 05/07/2013 16:44

Our summer holidays have already started in NI. My DS is v tall so we have been buying men's shirts, trousers & shoes at M&S so glad to see F&F have 'adult' sized items.

JustCallMeBaldrick · 05/07/2013 16:44

Signed up! I hope I get chosen, as my DTs go through trousers so quickly it's ridiculous!

SoupDragon · 05/07/2013 16:50

Unfortunately, Tesco's don't do yellow summer dresses and, as that's what DD is wearing seeing as it is the end of the summer term, this is no good. :(

BetsyBell · 05/07/2013 16:50

Looking at the motley state of the current uniforms at this end of the school year (holes in knees, faded jumpers etc) it would be nice to see if F&F are any better...

choccyp1g · 05/07/2013 16:52

Hope I get chosen to get some new shirts for next year, as DS is (over)due a growth spurt.

Kveta · 05/07/2013 17:01

So are you looking for children to test the uniform out at school before the new term starts? Or are children who are starting in September allowed to test it too? I'm confused Confused

insanityscratching · 05/07/2013 17:02

Ooh I'm currently boycotting Tesco but I suppose I could be tempted back Wink I'm so fickle it's embarrassing really Blush

MichelleMumsnet · 05/07/2013 17:07

Kveta We're looking for MNers to test out F&F's uniform range in the next couple of weeks before the summer holidays, so unfortunately this excludes those who start school in September. Hope this answers your question!

Did someone say "free school uniform?

Ds1 is surving on his last 3 polo shirts and very short PE shorts because I refuse to buy more for the last few weeks of school Grin.

lougle · 05/07/2013 17:12

Michelle, I mentioned that I have a child starting in September, but I also have two slightly older girls (6&7) who are at school right now. Just to be clear.

SoupDragon · 05/07/2013 17:17

I wonder why only girls' trousers seem to come in a version with long/short lengths...?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 05/07/2013 17:17

Well I'm happy to do it if I get chosen but it seems a bit daft to start buying new uniform in the last two weeks of term, less by the time testers get chosen and are able to spend their vouchers. By the time I get picked, order and click and collect, it'll be next Wednesday. Take out a couple of non uniform days they've got scheduled and it's not much time in which to prove the clothes good quality and hard wearing Confused

Surely this should have been done a term ago?

fanoftheinvisibleman · 05/07/2013 17:21

Just applied but can you remove my entry HQ? There is no point as even if uniform arrived on monday he has less than 10 days at school and current uniform is a different colour to next years juniors.

boatclub · 05/07/2013 17:24

My nearly 6 year old will be back to school in August. I've got a few bits already from M and S but it would be good to see if a cheaper range can offer the same or better fit and durability. Last year I found the polo shirts got a bit worn by the third term and trousers got a bit holey.

Lavenderloves · 05/07/2013 17:24

It should have been done last Sept! A term is not enough to test a garment, it needs a year of washing. To do it over a week or two would skew the results....unless your looking to make bold statements about how 9\10 mumsnetter loved us.

BriansBrain · 05/07/2013 17:25

I'm in Smile older children have finally stopped growing so quickly now!

bramble13aa · 05/07/2013 17:26

Yes Please! Have 2 boys age 6 & nearly 9, one on the petite side, loves football, current uniform looking scruffy and faded!!

HorryIsUpduffed · 05/07/2013 17:27

Ooh good. DS's trousers are suddenly a couple of inches up from his ankles and his shorts are more like hotpants!

Vajazzler · 05/07/2013 17:36

Done. I hope I get picked my son has just come home with a ripped shirt and holes in both knees!

DramaInPyjamas · 05/07/2013 17:39

Hello mumsnet, can you double check my entry went through properly pretty please? I entered on my mobile but got a phone call as I pressed the completion button, and the page gone now :/

I do agree with the rest of you that it is too late to test a uniform but hey ho, £100 in vouchers will set us up for next year if we get picked!

Glitterfairys · 05/07/2013 17:53

Signed up - This is a great opportunity I hope were picked Smile

Jbck · 05/07/2013 18:09

Its excluding Scottish kids too isn't it. Should have been done earlier or for next term.

I signed up but unlikely to get chosen. I'd have made them wear it ot to play Grin
