Start using Mumsnet PremiumNOW CLOSED: Video reviewing test drivers wanted for Ford Kuga
(63 Posts)We've been asked by Ford to find 5 MNers and their families willing to have a three week extended test drive of the Kuga, to make a video review and to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. This follows on from the recent C-MAX, Grand C-MAX and Focus test drives.
In case you don't know the Kuga, here's what Ford say about it. "It has five seats and is Ford's all wheel drive model making it fantastic for driving on more challenging terrain. It features include a split tail gate which gives users easy access to the boot, allowing you to load and un-load all your belongings easily. For more info please have a look at the Ford site"
If you'd like to test drive one please read on, especially the conditions:
You can use the car for anything (legal) - but you will need to pay for any fuel you use, as well as any parking permits or parking/traffic fines.
Insurance will be arranged as long as you:-
~ are aged 25 or over
~ have had a full driving licence for three years or more and
~ have no convictions for dangerous driving.
What will test drivers need to do?
If selected, you would need to be able to offer feedback about the car on Talk at least twice a week for the duration of the three week test plus a final round up of your thoughts.
We will also be asking you to use the video camera provided to film yourself reviewing the car with your family plus we'll need a photo of you with the car and some details about you and your family. All footage, photos and information may be shown on Mumsnet and potentially used by Ford elsewhere.
Timetable
The test drive will take place starting w/c 31 October and will last for three weeks.
Please only apply if you are around and able to test the car as well as add your feedback.
If selected your name and contact details would be passed to the team at Ford who would make arrangements to deliver the car on a convenient day and time to suit you.
If you're interested in taking part please sign up by clicking here.
If you're selected for the test drive and add feedback as required on Mumsnet, you will receive £100 of John Lewis vouchers. If you haven't heard from us by October 25th, we're sorry but you haven't been selected this time.
Thanks and good luck

Me and four children, too many?
Oh yes please!
Drove one at Donington and I love it! (Even if I couldn't make myself drive as fast as the racing instructor wanted me to )
Hope I get a turn this time around.
Is there any problem with people who don't actually have kids signing up? I mean, we're taking DNephew for a few days to give SIL a break, but that's half term week not the dates Ford are offering... However, DP is car mad (and moderates a large brand-specific car forum) so it'd be right up our street
I loved driving this at Donington (those who were there may remember my red coat )
But am away for the third week - I could do good testing the other two weeks though (and let H do some driving while I'm away)
Do we qualify, it's me, dh and dd??
Oh yes please! This car is on our list when we finally get around to changing. Would be great to review one.
Ahh, I put that it would be parked in the garage..but DH will probably have his in there if we're successful, but it would be on our driveway.
Oooh pick me pick me!!!
I would love to test drive the new Kuga so please pick me, pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaase! .
DONE
ooh look at all those gadgets! Fabulous...but i have dogs...I think that's a black mark against my entry!
who do I need to bribe to get this one?
I sooo want one of these.
Curlylox - it's fine to apply with one child - and none - please put in the end box any unusual circumstances etc!
FroOOOOOtshoOOOOOOts - dogs could be a good one too - is he/she good in front of the camera?! (new puppy owner alert!)
is he/she good in front of the camera?!
My Collie would pose beautifully. My Spaniel won't be interested unless it's round and able to be thrown down the garden
Dammit, I should have exaggerated how often my bunny goes in the car! He's very cute but only goes in occasionally - usually when we go to visit the Small People!
I would love to drive a 'fancy' car . Owner of ancient micra...
Ooh we would love the chance of a test drive, I've never ever won anything!!
I really would love to be successful - it would REALLY make a bad few months much better!!!
Oh, love cars here - like trying new ones and always in the market for looking!
Oh please, please, please, please PLEEASE?
I have one child, and my work (inventory clerk) means that the car is kind of my office, I'd be able to put it through its paces!
I LOVE driving and I adore the Kuga to look at, would dearly LOVE to be able to actually drive one!
Yes please! Me, dh and 4 dcs plus a collie (though not all at once, obv ). Also various prams and musical instruments.
Pretty please. The heater is fixed on max in my car so I'd love to drive a car with proper temp controls... even for three weeks!
<grovels unashamedly>
Ooo - pick me, pick me!
