When the webchats started, my hair stood on end with horror. I thought the whole thing would be a disaster, no-one would ask questions and it would all be horrible and embarrassing. (Don't even remember who the early chats were with).

Now I just expect national figures to pop up regularly and to be able to send them questions, without having to make eye contact or drive anywhere (don't know which is worse). I expect to have senior politicians on here, and people I would never in a million years feel comfortable actually meeting. I drum my fingers and say 'come on, come on' like Paxo if top writers are a bit slow at posting.
