We are very excited to be welcoming Tom Kerridge into our kitchen on Thursday, where he'll be making us an exclusive treat from his new book: Tom Kerridge's Best Ever Dishes.

We'll post the video on our YouTube channel – subscribe now, if you haven't already, and be the first to find out which dish he's showing us how to make at home.

Tom's a regular on programmes like Saturday Kitchen and MasterChef. His pub, The Hand and Flowers, was the first in the world to acquire two Michelin stars. If you've got a burning question for him, post it below – we'll ask a couple while we ogle at the food film.

Fab. I love, love, love his food.

Can you ask him if he can reserve me a table and a room at the Hand & Flowers? I've never been able to get in and I promised DH I'd take him there 2 Christmases ago!

My question is - what would he cook a family of four for a fiver? No cheffie stuff like quinoa that the kids won't eat either!

Ooh ooh me me!!

My question is, ahem,

'Tom, do you believe in marriage and children? If so, that's great, coz I'm married and have 2 kids, I'd be perfect for you. Can I move in?

Also, Tom, if you won't marry me, what is you most favourite comfort food sort of dish, now that winter is drawing in, and if he rejects my marriage offer I may have to console myself...

Cheers!!

Does he want to come and live with me in the Highlands?
Sorry I'll compose myself
I've often admired his pawprint tattoo on his arm when he's been on TV -is there a story behind it?

Tom, you've lost an impressive amount of weight recently, how did you do it? Also do you purposely choose Marcus Waring to be your seafood judge on GBM because you like scaring the chefs?

Tom, Tom I luffs you - but we only have 14 hours to save the world. Oh. Wait. That's Flash Gordon.

What's your favourite impressive looking but dead cheap & easy pudding?

Wh0dathunkit · 02/09/2014 21:06

Hello Tom,

Mr Thunkit is an ex-chef with very Victorian tastes. I am an ex-KP with Mediterranean tastes, we are having fun & games trying to find dishes that suit the pair of us. Any suggestions? We're both pretty competant, in our own special ways (I can read recipes, he can read meat), and we enjoy working together (if nothing else, for the comedy value), so something complex would be a fun challenge.

What would you personally do with about five kilos of home grown tomatoes?

Tom, I love you!

I'm a cookbook addict but find myself looking through some and being put off by the cost of the ingredients. I can't justify £20 on a joint of meat! What's your best chef-y recipe that looks and tastes impressive but won't leave me living off beans on toast for the rest of the week?

I know this will so not be one of the Qs you actually put to Tom, but, um, I don't suppose he'd consider bending me over his worktop and ahhhhh Blush whisking me vigorously would he?
I know, I know, there is a lovely Mrs K, and I apologise to her as I envy her but I do have a bit of a thing for Tom, and it's late, and the Wine has flowed.... my excuse and I am sticking to it, and will deny everything in the morning!
as you were folks.... Grin

Hi Tom

I'm gearing up to produce 'your' faggots any day now.. just waiting for the caul from the local butchers....Can't wait :)

My question is ( along a similar path to Linerunner...)

What do you cook with your excess garden veg at this time of year? I'm not so much swamped by tomatoes, but more courgettes (yellow) and runner beans.

Please give me an idea for runner Beans that I haven't done yet... (So far, Delias chutney, in a Piccalilli, greek style with toms and garlic, boiled and tossed in garlic. Given kilos to the local village shop to sell....)

Thank you very much!

Hi Tom, I loved your last book and series and am really looking forward to this one.

I love meat but will generally only like to eat good quality, responsibly sourced meat. I've found that over the past few years even traditionally cheaper cuts (especially lamb shanks!) have soared in price. I'm now having a few meat free nights a week so that we can continue to have better quality. What vegetarian meals would you recommend that are still delicious and won't make us miss the meat?

Excellent, I love TK!
I'm going to the Hand and Flowers in March, my question is, do you cook in the kitchen yourself at all and do you come and talk to your guests?!
Sorry, that's a rubbish question of all the things I could have asked...

It goes like this.

Hello Tom, I bloody love you on the TV and have the pub food book so it feels a bit like we're mates. My intentions are honourable unlikesome I can point the finger at Shock so Mrs K doesn't need to give me evils.

Now, imagine you have the night off and you invite me and my DH round to yours for something to eat, what would be on the menu? We'd be bringing a bottle of wine and a bunch of flowers out of the garden and hopefully sitting in your kitchen. It's late Summer/early Autumn by the way.
If I could crash in with part two of the menu question, if it was a special occasion and you said come round for a push the boat out meal and we brought champagne and posh flowers, what would be on the menu then?
Thank You x

Note, obviously I wouldn't be stealing your ideas to try them out on my friends and passing them off as my own, oh no Blush

Ooh we've been fans of yours from Great British Menu and those chips
I mainly eat veggie though and find most chefs don't offer much in the way of veggie meals. What would you offer me?
And to complicate things I can't eat dairy...

I'd also love to know what your favourite cook book is!

Hey Tom, love your recipes and hope to come to Hand and Flowers soon! Looking great btw.

My question is, what's your best recipe when money is tight? Cheap cuts aren't exactly cheap anymore (lamb shanks anyone?!) so any tips on enjoying meat at a good price would be grand x

One minute and 38 seconds? Is that the best he could do? There weren't exactly a million questions on this thread, surely he could have answered all of them?

I was disappointed too, I know he is here to promote his book but he only answered questions where he could point at a page in his book.
