Following on form discussions on this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_campaigns/2129828-A-truly-independent-enquiry-into-child-sex-abuse would it be possible to have Tom Watson on for a webchat to discuss the child sex scandal and enquiry into it?

I'd like to second the proposal.

Thanks whistling feels a bit like MNHQ are ignoring us both here and in the campaign thread Sad

Yes, Tom Watson or Simon Danczuk.

Yes, it does feel a bit like that. But given the furore over JH, I'm not surprised they're being cautious.

That said, some kind of MNHQ presence would be welcome Smile

Yes.

I would rather they took their time and made a well thought out response but hopefully it's not too much longer Smile

Don't be downhearted by mnhq's response. You have already set the ball rolling. It will gather more and more momentum.

I'd prefer Tom Watson, but Simon Danczuk has got a book out:

www.amazon.co.uk/Smile-Camera-Double-Cyril-Smith/dp/1849546444/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1405380613&sr=1-1&keywords=simon%20danczuk&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

Always easier to get a politician in if there's a book to promote.

I think a few posters have been making contact with Mr Danczuk too.

Either would be good or both Grin

I really would like to know who Tom Watson or Simon Danczuk would like to head the inquiry. I think those would be very pertinent questions to ask in a web chat?
