Do you think John Taylor from Duran Duran would do a webchat?

I think there are a few of us MNetters of a certain age that would enjoy it. smile

InkleWinkle Sun 18-Aug-13 18:16:38

I know Pag but it was a civilised book reading / signing event!
Even I managed to string a few coherent words together when I was getting my booked signed.

Although if there hadn't been a desk between us I may have rugby tackled him to the ground smile

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:16:42

Oh no Inkle. Cringe!

Madamecastafiore Sun 18-Aug-13 18:16:48

Blimey, I've been married and had children and got divorced so that wipes half the things off of the list that make him special!! (And DH has married someone with children)

If he does come on here maybe someone could ask what hairspray he uses and why he has never used moisturiser or sun protection??

I just do not get the attraction.

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:18:47

Well put yourself forward for a webchat then Madame. But I don't think you did any of that in the public eye unless you are Patsy Kensit or something....

usualsuspect Sun 18-Aug-13 18:19:17

I'd rather have Robert Plant tbh.

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:20:21

Madame he was a big part of my teenage years, did you not have any posters on your wall?

Then you get older and realise he is just a normal person and you have sensible things to ask.

usualsuspect Sun 18-Aug-13 18:20:30

I seem to have missed all the John Taylor love on MN.

Sparkling Do you think Cliff would tell us all why THAT picture even exists? grin

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:21:27

All yours usual.

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:22:56

I think that question would be top of the list SPs. It needs answering. grin

Madamecastafiore Sun 18-Aug-13 18:23:40

Blimey - touchy.

My posts were tongue in cheek. I just think there are a lot of people who are far more interesting in terms of what they have to offer than John Taylor.

Sorry if I offended you.

That would be the only question!

I have nothing to ask this John fella. Do you think he googles his self and has come across your love fest about him? grin

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:25:27

You didn't offend me Madame. If you want to have someone on for a webchat you have to ask MN and get a bit of support behind it.

usualsuspect Sun 18-Aug-13 18:25:46

<leaves strange thread>

If you get a webchat with John can I get a lone webchat with RH or Scott from 5ive grin

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:27:29

No SPs. You can have one with Duncan Blue. grin

I can see a JT webchat going a bit like the one with Kevin from Grand Designs.

A couple of posters were hilarious and Kevin loved it! grin

I went to a DuranDuan concert back in the day.
Couldn't hear a single thing except a wall of screaming.

I dressed up and everything.well you never know I had already pulled Freddie

cocolepew Sun 18-Aug-13 18:28:37

How did I know this would be you Sparkling?
Psychic that's me.

Lighthousekeeping Sun 18-Aug-13 18:28:51

I loved him at the time. It's amazing what mucky thoughts you are capable of having at 14 for a man. I probably would've run off with him. When it came to it wasn't Amanda only 16 when she started going out with him. You can see how these situations happen. However, that's another thread!

I wouldn't want to see him naked now though, he is in his 50's after all. I doubt he has a very good body. I don't think he ever did!

Pagwatch Sun 18-Aug-13 18:29:32

Everyone has one with Duncan Blue. It's just about waiting long enough surely.

Sparklingbrook Sun 18-Aug-13 18:30:40

grin Pagwatch
